That doesn’t look ‘right’ though, does it?

Looks like we were all wrong, not the Roubaix, not the Diverge, the Sirius!

Not bad bikes in fairness, my wife has a Siriux-X which she uses to do the 5km commute to work.

I knew we were comrades maquisard, in addition to me being a Francophile; my wife rides a Sirrus 6 (proper name although Sirius is cooler) and likes it because she's uncomfortable with drop bars. Over the holidays I had it rebuilt with SRAM XLPR electronic shifting and Light Bicycle wheels. I'll post the PowerPoint on the project later. It's down to 18 lbs flat and when the weather warms up she'll test it out with me.

Am I the only one thinking that given the geometry, that frameset built up with drop bars woudl make for a great 1X gravel bike?

Extremely tall stack even before (I think) taking into account the tall headset / FutureShock, extremely short reach. I would imagine with a monstruous -17d stem it *might just* suit people looking for a fairly relaxed gravel bike.

Pretty slack and the stack is high. I'm sure it would be stable but might feel a little sluggish.

New Emonda ALR announced today. Not particularly WW but perhaps of interest to some:

I can't really see what it has over either the Allez Sprint as a crit racer or the CAAD13 as a winter racer though?

I think we see a slow return to aluminium bikes because both cost and environmental issues (AL is indeed much better than Carbon on that respect). It looks like a honest road bike for those who are interested in a more affordable road bike, not necessarily a "niche" bike like the Allez or a heavy duty bike like the CAAD

Is there any rumors of a new BMC Teammachine being released any time soon? It was last updated in 2020, like the Tarmac
Specialized SL7 - 7.1kg including Garmin mount, bottle cages and pedals

I think it's more like the return of steel around when we transitioned to alloy: i.e. hipsters.

Aluminium is cheaper and has seen a lot of improvement recently. I don't see why it should be limited to hipsters. A high-quality aluminium frame remains better than a cheap carbon. I will soon update my old carbon bike and I am considering AL as I want a fast, stiff bike and carbon is so expensive

I have the previous generation Emonda ALR and its excellent. Almost exact same weight as the Emonda SL carbon version. (~1200g 56 with some bits). I use it as an all weather, light gravel, rainy day, fast commuter, etc. bike.

Tarmac SL8 confirmed for TdF launch! The one-piece bar will be launched with it, no info on if customers can select width/stem length unfortunately.

Source? Any more info about build options? Hoping they finally release something with 105 di2.

Hopefully we also see the official launch of Look's new all-round race bike at the TdF, given Cofidis have been riding it since January:
