It's not about compliance, but very relaxed geometry and wide tires. But yes, it's competing with Diverge at this point

This is a stolen sample according to Specialized China.
Looks like the bars wont be compatible with mech drivetrains given how small those holes are :( :( :(

Imo,”Roubaix” has no longer place in the battle.
S5,Aeroad, Madonne,Foil...these bikes are dominating this brutal Spring Classic.
I don’t see any future for this bike.
Well, maybe not for winning the actual race - but it is nontheless from my understanding the consumer's choice in the Specialized road lineup (and very much due an update).

New De Rosa Settanta.

What do you think about the new bike?

Apparently it has an extraordinary weight. I'm still waiting for more details about stiffness and aerodynamics, but it looks like a bike with a very elegant aesthetic.

Frame: 730 g (size 54)
Fork: 280 g
Complete weight: 6,370 kg

Fork weight of 280g? That tends to worry me more than impress.

It is a gorgeous bike though.

The new DR looks elegant indeed to me. Maybe TeXtreme involved weight savings? Took a quick glance at geo and ... long and low?
Just ride ..

Fork weight of 280g would put it right next to Sworks Aethos fork... I don't really believe that claim, moreso if internal routing is involved, and definitely not with that paint ;)
Minimum bike categories required in the stable:

I am excited to see some review and see if this weight reduction could have affected the stiffness.

Yeah, but these are like 400mm reach in sufficent stack.
Perhaps Pinarello at 388mm reach isn't a race bike in your book.
Endurance bikes are almost always to high instead.
I look for frames that doesn't need super short stems and loads of spacers. That is not a fitting frame.
Weight R/F, a stem length (cockpit reach) that suits the head ange and rake of fork is kind of key.
Not just building a bike and saying i can make it fit so it fits.
How the bike end up is kind of prio 1. Atleast to me.
Argonaut proven geometry and old Colnago have and had good geometry and Time is also rather good.
I do get that guys like you see it differently, but i see most use short stems on fast steering bikes.
Not really optimal. Best is to use scales (2) and check your weight balance on a bike. Then you'll see that most are off.
Because they have too much weight on the rear end.

Contemporary reach:stack ratios are becoming insufficient for pro/competition fitting trends. Look at the growing number of pros using 130mm, 140mm or even longer stems like the 170mm used by Jonas Rutsch.
