Nice. From the image in that Instragram post, appears to be nearly twice the surface area for the splines compared to the other ratchet.

Looks like the same mechanism as nonplus components. Anyone know if there's a relationship between the companies?

That image doesn't prove their design is durable. It just indicates the other design is isn't meshing fully for whatever reason. I sure hope their design lasts 3000km because my White Industries CLD pawls/ratchet ring look basically new after 40000km.

These *are* Non Plus hubs. They don't sell their road ones at retail though unfortunately, only ODM (including custom) for other brands - of which these are one of several.

Their MTB hubs are excellent. I wish they'd sell a road SKU too at a similar price.

Just ordered a pair of these to try out.

Wheel build will be as follows:

Tactic TR01 hubs - 24/24H - Shimano Freehub - 215g
Enve 5.6 Disc rim front - 54mm - 454.5g
Enve 5.6 Disc rim rear - 63mm - 483.8g
Sapim CX-Ray SP spokes x 48 - 230g (approximate)
Sapim alloy nipples x 48 - 16.8g

Total - 1,400.01g

Would love to get these under 1,400g, but we shall see...

Might need to adjust the alloy nipple weight as the Enve 5.6 disc rims use Enve specific internal nipples at .75g each according to the Wheelbuilder wheel weight calculator:
https://wheelbuilder.com/wheel-weight-calculator/
However the spoke weight might be able to come down a bit since the spoke lengths will be pretty short on the deeper rims. Can see sub-1400g when all is said and done.

Thinking the same thing. So these guys put up a photo of a messed up ratchet ring at 600km and one of their's at 3000 km. This concerns me. Do they not realize that 3000 km is only a month of riding for some of us? Are we supposed to be impressed? And do they think anyone would believe that any half decent ratchet ring would have a problem at 600km? When I see this sort of deceptive marketing that counts on the ignorance or stupidity of the consumer, I can't help but be concerned that a lack of integrity might be pervasive throughout the company. Congratulations Princeton/Tactic, you have proved that your hubs can last a whole month. :noidea:

Depends what the 600/3000km looks like. Is it a test cycle, or just riding.
And TBH, I've got ratchets with probably 50 times that distance on them that. That looked cleaner and less worn than either of those...

Right, so what are these guys thinking? The hubs may be fabulous for the weight, but the marketing communications could use some help. Tactic needs to understand that at this pricepoint the customer will be very exacting. A question about durability needs to be answered with hard data with this market segment, not "here is a picture of our shit after a few rides".
