The Torch have been the first Specialized shoe I've been able to wear. I tried the Ares in 3 different sizes (45, 45.5, 46) and both the normal and wide versions and couldn't even wear them 15 minutes before I had hot spots and pain in various spots. I tried the SW7 in various sizes and widths and thought I had the right size, took them out for three rides before having to send them back due to excruiating toe pain after an hour into each ride (thank God for Specialized's return policy). The Torch seem to be the sweet spot for me and have done some 3-4 hour rides in them without issue.

The all black version came in wide. At least in the US. Didn't notice a huge difference between the two to be honest though.tommyboyo wrote: ↑Sat Jul 16, 2022 10:21 pmA wide version of the Ares? Ewan.
Specialized (US) sold out of the white shoes in most sizes within a day of being listed. I was able to source a size 41 for the wife from Performance Bike as the 41.5 size I got from Specialized where a touch to large and are now sitting idle in the box.

I was on the fence, but decided that day they released it. Sure enough, white was the first color way to be out of stock on many sizes.

I have a pair of brand new unworn white ones in size 43 that I'm looking to sell at cost. I managed to find a pair of 42.5 which are a better fit but I'm outside the return period for the 43s. DM me if interested (I'm in the UK).
Ditto - well sort of. White in size 41.5 that the wife used a couple times on the trainer, as well as a few rides on the road but I am in the US.MarginalChains wrote: ↑Thu Jul 21, 2022 12:18 pmI have a pair of brand new unworn white ones in size 43 that I'm looking to sell at cost.
