In desperation for a ride, took the bike to the gym at 7am this morning cross country.. need a bigger front light. Bit of road and track…

So far what I can I say, apart from this bike is just so smooth… responsive and reacts when you need… it feels a strong bike as well that will appreciate a good hammering…

So it’s taken me 1 day to get the bike dirty….

I've got 2 Sturdy's from an earlier period before the complete Ti hardware packages became available.

They're the best bikes I've ridden and as everyone on this thread has said Tom is the nicest bloke around.

I'm tempted by the cranks but I'm pretty sure my headtube isn't compatible with the Ti front ends.

Wow you must be like 200 cm tall.
Amazing how that Ti frame still looks pretty sexy being that big.

I don't think he's finished with it yet, especially with the chain not wrapped onto the cassette. Regardless, the Sturdy's look great!

Okay I was only off by 9.5cm which is enough. Still quite tall thoughbut not enough to make the wheels look like they are 650s or 26in. Normally a frame that large looks disproportionate but that one looks good.

The wheels are 650b with 48mm slicks 👌
Worth noting that if I was to buy and off the shelf plastic bike I would be on a slammed 56cm SL7 with a 130 stem... tall but bendy!

Haha 56 is my frame size(183cm) so I guess you would have to be pretty bendy to make it work.

It's certainly interesting and indeed innovative.
I'm not at all sure that pushing the limit with a new (to cycling) process is a great idea though. Laser sintering has distinct disadvantages as well as advantages. I'm still waiting to hear about the cause of the Bastion Cycles bar failure in the Olympics, but it has all gone quiet...........
