Sturdy brings something really interesting on bike field ! and the process push the limit for many other parts :)
It's certainly interesting and indeed innovative.
I'm not at all sure that pushing the limit with a new (to cycling) process is a great idea though. Laser sintering has distinct disadvantages as well as advantages. I'm still waiting to hear about the cause of the Bastion Cycles bar failure in the Olympics, but it has all gone quiet...........
Don't forget bastion tend to bond printed Ti to CF although not sure if the Olympic bike was pure Ti or not...
Allegra- Steel Lugs TBC
Aurelia- Stainless All Road 8.5kg
Bertha- TT 9.8kg
Perdita- Ti Turbo bike 8kg
Serenity- Ti Gravel 9.5kg/8.9kg
Verity- Ti Aero 8.2kg
Alya- Ti Climbing TBC

All weights with pedals, cages & garmin mount

Printed parts won't replace carbon fibers for mass production for sure ! But this process opens some windows for custom parts. In term of weight, not sure it is significant, but in term of lead time and price, it is very interesting.

Depressed by the lack of taste on the GCN app! Voting the SL7 and Aeroad as more desirable than a Sturdy 🙈🤯

I think more ppl will always vote anything carbon as more desireable than Ti. But most these ppl likely dont know that the Sturdy is not your typical Ti frame.

Very much so, instantly regretted downloading the app and kind oif lost faith in humanity at the same time.

Okay I was only off by 9.5cm which is enough. Still quite tall thoughbut not enough to make the wheels look like they are 650s or 26in. Normally a frame that large looks disproportionate but that one looks good.
The wheels are 650b with 48mm slicks Image
Worth noting that if I was to buy and off the shelf plastic bike I would be on a slammed 56cm SL7 with a 130 stem... tall but bendy!
What are those like to ride on… my winter wheels I run 35mm, but 700cc wheels…

How does the bastion compare to your others? Also how are the wheels?
