Well, the official compatibility chart says no, but I suppose you could try it, with the understanding that it may not work.

I have gone from Ultegra Di211 to 12, I don't notice any difference from 8070 to 8170...........with the new calipers, you gain that 10% extra space and bleeding is more efficient......

Has anyone actually installed the br8170 calipers on 11s di2?
I managed to accidently find them on sale so pulled the trigger considering price alone and easier bleeding, still not sure about the 10% clearance but I guess we'll see.

What's with the hostility? Of course I read the thread, please point me to a post where a user has confirmed the marketting and actually installed them?

It works just fine. I have the 9270 calipers installed with 8070 levers. I have installed 8170 calipers for a few friends with 80xx/91xx levers.
Yes, the clearance is real. Many people are looking at the bleed block width being the same and assuming the clearance claims are BS, but the clearance comes from the piston retraction.

Personally, I think the extra clearance is great... but it's still very little. Sure, there's 10% extra clearance and that's cool... but 10% of next-to-nothing is still next-to-nothing

Will the DA-9200 crankset and chainrings work with the 11-speed front and rear derailleur and cassette? I assume it will but am curious if anyone has experience with this. I already run the 12-speed chain on my DA-9100 setup

The chainring spacing is different between 11 to 12 speed. 12 speed chainrings are closer together. Front shifting will work, but not perfectly.
