It's May 15 and nothing yet. I'm guessing there has been a delay? Anyone heard anything?
Why do you guess there's been a delay? There's never been an official release date - just a load of randoms on a forum pretending they have insider info. Same old story.

Many of those predictions were correct. Why do you bother posting or looking here if you just wait for an official release? Sign-up for Campy instagram.

Campagnolo haven't issued a release date as such, at any stage, for a number of good reasons, both technical and commercial.

However frustrating that may be, it's generally the case that we are given possible dates for release but they are not supposed to be shared until Campagnolo do so from Vicenza.

That some have taken a punt, which reading some of the comments, was based on confidential information, is not directly Campagnolo's problem, although it's annoying because those people should have known better.

Those of us who have worked on in product design & development for some time and who have also walked the commercial side of the street on the supply side, know that just like every other company, in R and D, even fairly late prototypes are not the finished item, even fairly late prototypes can be pulled at the last minute (as Campagnolo did with electronic shifting in 2009/10, at t-minus 3 months from the estimated launch date) and we know that the physical appearance of production prototypes can differ significantly from the final "look and feel" (I have PP of the original disc brake system on hand, that came to us for testing - some of those parts bear little physical resemblance to the final product).

The component manufacturer's supply chain also needs to be secured and that is not easy in the current environment - battery and microchip supply are still both very volatile spaces at the moment, for instance, as is raw aluminium. Significant materials ordering is still being done 12 months ahead of supply. This is partly, still, a COVID hang-over effect.

Finally, commercially, there are windows in which launch dates work, and windows where they don't ...

So - you will, if you want reliable information, have to wait.

The Campagnolo branches around the world have the current expected release date, it may be subject to change (we all know that) and we also all know the reasons why. Some may choose to leak it, or may have to inform their customers, who in their turn, may be less careful with other people's confidentiality than they are their own ... but those leaks might well turn out to be wrong in the future, as they have in the past ...

So reading between the lines, you're saying it'll definitely be released at the TDF?! :D

Now we can post that Graeme said it will be released at the Tour. :P

I always have a wait and see additude but I do like the sneek peaks/rumors that pop up.

Does anyone know if Campagnolo is thinking of renewing the Bora Ultra WT0 45?

This year they announced the new Hyperon and I don't know if there are plans to renew the Bora WTO

Thanks

Just guessing, but feels unlikely. Ultras feel like they just came out.

More likely they’ll update the regular WTO to the new freehub ring size.
