Not throwing shade on AG2R, just being relaistic aout their rider roster and chances of winning any of the meaningful WT races.
Either way, very excited for something new from Campagnolo.

Surely you'd expect to see prototypes in the peloton way before release no?

I had a discussion with campagnolo dealer and he confirmed all the rumors.

- Coming in May
- Wireless levers
- Shimano style shifting (no thumb shifter)

So what makes this different than Shimano or SRAM?

What makes you think it has to be different? Their 12sp system has been out for awhile and some people think it's time to upgrade. The masses think wireless is an upgrade so I suspect they had to go that way. With all the wireless issues I have in my life, I think this is a step backwards. But, they did not ask me.

This new Super Record seems the opposite of what I was waiting for.
Instead of "Ekar EPS slimmed for road", we're getting new shifters (why?), smaller gears (less efficient), wireless (pricier and dicier) and still 12-speed.
So I'll probably get Ultegra like everyone else, and try not to notice how soullessly ugly it is, as it shifts twice as fast and costs 1/3 as much.
Campy, I loved you, but we're just growing different ways.
It's been known for some time that the new product would not be EPS. I would imagine that Ekar WRL is just around the corner, since Ekar makes up about half of Campagnolo sales.
• A hi-zoot bike, pretty sweet
• An old bike, more fun than the new one actually
• Unicycle, no brand name visible

It'll still be working in 15 years? :D

If the front mech is smaller and shifting is as quick as di2 12x it'll be a win. Ideally battery isn't awful and hoods on disk are the same size as rim.

I was told 5k£ in the uk from a dealer.

As existing rim hoods, or is there confirmation of a rim brake version of SR WRL?

If it the same as electronic Shimano or SRAM but twice the cost, why would you buy it, except for being a campag devote?

A significant number of people's selection process is to check what the most expensive option on the market is, then buy it without further question.
