Have you considered Carbon Ti? With the Sram Red AXS V2 they nailed itJackofallgrades wrote:Reviving this one, as I'm about to get some rings for the same setup (Dzero spider with Sram Red cranks). How are the Praxis/Stronglight rings performing?

Do you mean they actually shift better than other oval chainrings, or do you mean the round chainrings with the new ramps?

I will tell you after setup my bike with oval Carbon-Ti, I use Rotor Q-Rings, small oval Absolute Black in combination with Dura-ace round big... But my first impression is not the best with Carbon-Ti...wheelsONfire wrote: ↑Sun Aug 22, 2021 7:31 amDo you mean they actually shift better than other oval chainrings, or do you mean the round chainrings with the new ramps?

I have, but the price being nearly 3 times that if Praxis is a consideration as well. (Also, I'm this is for a Shimano 11spd build, not my AXS Supersix).

Praxis is fantastic. I actually didn't take the risk to go with strongligh.
I have praxis for both 52-36 and 50-34, it's been almost 6000kms now, not a single issue. Very happy with praxis + Quarq, worth the small weight penalty

Did you go for their Buzz rings or the aero ones? Good to hear though!

I have had nothing but great experiences with stronglight ct2 rings. Running 50/34 setup on red mechanical 10 speed. Never drops a chain or anything weird. Have done countless gravel races on them with plenty of front shifting.
Same thing with my extralite rings. Etap 11 speed and red 22 mechanical. Excellent shifting. I don't even think about front shifting, it just happens.

Really wonder where Carbon-Ti would fit in to that table. Pricewise they're probably most expensive, but weight- and performance wise they should beat the middle of the pack. Estetics count in my book and overall they might actually be a winner. I'm guessing though, some more insight would be appreciated.
I've tried both. Both shift 11 speed chain fine.Yoln wrote: ↑Tue Aug 24, 2021 2:45 amBuzzJackofallgrades wrote: ↑Mon Aug 23, 2021 10:23 pmDid you go for their Buzz rings or the aero ones? Good to hear though!
For some reason, the Aero one doesn't like 12 speed XTR chain. Buzz ring have no problem with 12 speed chain but Aero one either hesitate to shift, or overshift and nearly drop the chain depend on how I set up. So, if you plan to move to 12sp, probably stick with Buzz.

Thanks Hex, I'm planning on using the 12sp chain trick too, so good info! No plans for 12sp group, neither want to nor able to anytime soon I suspect.

Reviving this thread, been using Absolute Black 52/38 setup for a while, working perfect. No problems, I do like the look but also interested in trying other things. The Rotor NOQ Aero seems about the same in this table, anyone used a similar setup in 52/36 of 52/38? I do like the look of the NOQ Aero
