Hi all

I simply cannot setup front di2 derailleur on my Venge 2020.

First problem is that i cannot align derailleur with chainring to get negative angle or even zero, at the start back side is a bit more outside than the front and when i start screwing it just get worse.

Second problem is to get even dostances between all tooths and derailleur. When I set 2mm on the front and start screwing the derailleur back side just come too close to the tooths.
If i set the back side to 2mm than I have 5-6mm on the front...

Don't know what od these is the problem but on the ride when I shift from big to small when pedaling i get chainsuck (something pull the chain up). That happens in about 2 of 5-6 times...

Your height looks fine - keep it there and tighten the main bolt. There is a specific screw at the rear of DA Di2 FD that adjusts the angle. Then of course high and low limit. Have a look at a youtube video or installation manual.

Your photo doesn't show any of the relevant parts that would relate to that problem. And when you say 'start screwing', what is it that you are screwing?

???

That clearly isn't the case in the photo you provided :noidea:

When I start screwing the derailleur to the frame then the back of the derailleur go down and then is not enough space.

Hold the FD tightly with one hand and then screw it in so that it doesn’t move, don’t let the tightening of the screw move the FD.

Something sounds quite wrong then, since that's not an adjustable angle. The body of the derailleur sits in the braze on tab and that's it. It can't pivot forwards and back. If you don't know what you're doing with it at this point I would take it to a qualified mechanic.

Here you can see the best what I can get.
Back heigt is at the minimum while there is a bit too big at the front. And also the angle... the angle adjustmen screw is not even touched the frame/plate and that is the max angle I can get...

Didn't test it outside to see if i'm still getting chainsucks but that is not looks promising...

So again something is clearly wrong and none of your photos show the relevant parts, i.e. what's hapening at the braze-on tab. Is there something stuck in between the tab and the derailleur body?

It would not be a good idea to ride it like that. If you've run out of ideas, take it to a mechanic.

Check your FD mount isn't misshapen. Had this happen to me and every time you tightened it up it slipped and bent the FD mount a bit more. Careful reworking of the FD mount got it back to a working position but on my Merida the FD mount was rivetted onto the seat tube so changing the part wasn't an easy option.

Yeah, that looks fine. Just a thought as I couldn't figure out what was wrong with mine for long enough and missed the glaringly obvious.

It can;t be though, can it? The pivot of the derailleur in that plane is not adjustable. If it's cleanly clamped to the braze on tab and it's skewed like that, then either the tab or the derailler is bent or defective. Have you tried attaching a different derailleur to the tab to see what happens?

Hi all, can somebody tell me the solution? I have almost the same issue. Front derailleur can’t be aligned to chainrings? (Venge sworks and Dura ace 11s di2)

Is this a mechanical FD with wire routed through a Di2 cable port?

No, MY20 Venge is electronic only.

My Venge is fine but it is also close. What can help is this:

The 4° option.

Don't try to bend the front derailleur mount while it is installed to the frame
