Does anyone know the weights of the stock thru axles? Has anyone upgraded to J&L ones?

Not worth it. My Factor O2 axles weighs about 55g (both) and the J&L nearly the same, within 2-3g. Mine came heavier than advertised. The front thru axle is 1mm shorter too. I keep them as spares and ridden them about 4000-5000km. With my 68kg I noticed no difference or more brake rubbing.

I saved 15g by going from stock to J&L (62 => 47), but that was 2 years back.
Minimum bike categories required in the stable:
Aero bike | GC bike | GC rim bike | Climbing bike | Climbing rim bike | Classics bike | Gravel bike | TT bike | Indoors bike

Does anyone have an Ostro Gravel and if so, can you let me know if its cable integration would play well with third party stems?

Ordered a frameset recently. The DA groupset hast already arrived. Do I need an adapter to mount the rear brake using a 140mm disc or does it mount directly to the frame? (Sorry for the maybe stupid question but it is my first disc Road Bike and on my Mondraker MTB the frame came with an adapter for the rear brake). Thanks a lot!

No adapter needed for 140mm rear disc.

Here is Naked Carbon with Olympic Gold logos in Gloss

I was in touch with Factor recently and they said this gold is not the Olympic Gold they offer in Prisma Studio. It is a special edition they made (I believe for Classified). Still wondering what the Olympic Gold Looks like. It was also interesting to learn that the Gold seen in the picture can only be done with gloss finish, not with matte (i also saw pictures here).
I hope this info is helpful for everyone planing to order a gold tone.

I am struggling to understand the following paragraph (4.1.) in the Assembly Manual (https://factorbikes.com/wp-content/uplo ... l_v2.8.pdf):
4.1. Only use a maximum of 37mm of spacers supplied with the frameset. If more than the supplied number of spacers is used the D-shaped spacer will not extend past the bearing split ring, which will result in the steerer tube being unsupported and may result in product failure
What's the "D-shaped spacer"? The anti-compression plug from 4.11.?

What's the "bearing split ring"? The compression ring from 4.6.?

How serious of a safety issue would it be to go up to 40mm of spacers? Assuming everything below the stem counts as a spacer...

If you need more than 37mm of spacers, you have the wrong frame. But yes, your assumptions on the parts are correct.

I hope your wrong. I sent Factor this picture and they told me it was Olympic Gold Gloss so that is what I ordered. I'll contact them and findout.

My new baby. All white Factor Ostro Vam. Size 52, 130 mm stem, 400 mm bars from Black Inc. Dura Ace C60 wheelset with Challenge Strada Bianca Pro TLR, new Ultegra 12 speed group and Berk Lupina saddle. 7,6 kg in total, so a perfect allrounder for my 62 kg’s :-) Im 175/176 cm and distance from saddle to BB center is 714 mm. For comparison, my second bike is a 2019 Bianchi Oltre XR4 size 53.

Agree, that looks great. If dad jokes are permitted.......it looks all-white.
