Looks awesome!
Was this done through the Prisma studio? Or did you get it custom painted?

Factor has released their new integrated aero bar/stem
New bar/stem: 398 g (42 cm x 110 mm)
Regular bar/stem: 320 g (420 mm x 110 mm)
Was looking forward to it, but I'll pass.

Ooh, that's a big weight gain. I have the current bar/stem combo on my Tarmac and love it. Don't think I'd spring for the new set for a little more aero and that weight gain.

They are shipping the new aero barstem on all Ostros as of January 1. It's not weight weenie. A 40x110 is 390g without the top cap, 402g with it. Maybe subtract a gram or two for the white tubes. It looks cool though, and doesn't have the indentations along the bottom for externally routed cables like the non-aero version.
Bottom does look cleaner and the shape as well. How's the top look? Doesn't have a huge back sweep as appears on website. I do like the 7 degree flare but not the extra weight. Can you measure the front to the back width? looks a bit thicker.

The backsweep is not huge, but definitely noticeable. It's about 47mm deep (front to back) by the inside radius, 40mm deep on the outside, and 18mm thick (top to bottom). By contrast, I think the non aero barstem is 35mm deep (front to back) all along.
The flare appears to start after the lever clamp position, so I think the levers will sit square vertically and not be tilted over. A size 40 measures 40cm c-c on the hoods, and 43cm c-c on the drops.

any rumors of an updated frame coming out or do yall think this will remain current for awhile? unfamiliar with factors release schedule.
A pure all-out aero bike would be interesting from Factor, although they likely would sell only a handful of those.
Agree on the Ostro, plus, even disregarding the steerer saga, they likely have done several undisclosed updates already for it in the lifecycle of the model, given the likely increased weight trends observed with the bike.
Minimum bike categories required in the stable:

Good to know. Thx for the measurements!fidracer wrote:The backsweep is not huge, but definitely noticeable. Speaking of aerobars - I'm hoping to use my Ostro in a Triathalon and would ideally use my existing barstem. Does anyone know of TT extentsions/bars that woudl work for the one piece barstem? I have found this product though not sure the sizing will work...
