ah, i was wondering how the back end looked and this really helps. i prefer the way the OEM Scott setup looks with the cap over the steerer tube. let me grab a pic and show you what my setup and fit is. much thanks for the info!

With spacers the Scott cover at the back / steerer just looks better.

I did go ahead and just order a 40/120 combo as they came back in stock."
Is the EXS 40/120 nearly the same dimensions as the Syncros 40/120?

Thank you. Now just a couple more days to see what will come on my 58cm Ultimate. Spec says 120mm stem (what I want) but nothing on bar width.

Ugh. The un-aero is gonna drive me crazy. Sucks both the Syncros and EXS are unavailable.

Was about a year wait for me to get the 40 x 120 syncros combo.

I got lucky and snagged the EXS a week ago. They just emailed me asking What Bike for the spacers. I assume another couple weeks for it to arrive. I have the Syncros on order as well, BUT the shop said ETA is listed for OCTOBER. I have the two piece set up which is fine, but the 42 bars are too wide for this tiny old man.

Does anyone have a video of this inner tube solution for the comfort seat post? I just bought a 2023 foils and greased the entire seat-post assembly just like it is in the manual but it’s still creaking like crazy.

Talk to supplier. Get warranty action going.

The replacement seatpost will come with an elastomer moulded insert that solves that. Easier than *f##k* around with the inner tube (I say that as one of the guys that was experimenting with the inner tube many pages ago in this thread)

Indeed as stated here above, get the warranty seatpost ordered by your LBS. I was told in december '23 it would be available March, which is now June and last week I was told again July.............................
This week LBS collected the bike after it was already twice with them. They now - on advise from Scott - taped the contact surface and have put a SH*T load of
molycote on everything. It's ALMOST gone, but every now and then still noticable though... Fingers crossed the new seatpost will be available before summer :?:

I expected my '23 Ultimate to arrive with the elastomer post, so I bought the Hylix. It came with the Duncan SL so now I have 2 rigid posts for this bike. I'd sell one to someone who wants to replace their elastomer model.

The fork seems to be for 160 or 180 rotors, can't take a 140. Here it is with a 140 rotor and the adapter in the 140 position*. Too bad, bigger rotor is more weight and drag.

*That position also says it's "160 for 160/180 mount".
