If you want to save even more weight please add these Carbon Shifter Clamps, just 12gr for a pair.

Nice. Did you modify the groupset to run 2x12? What is the weight of that build?

Gearing is AXS based. Shifting is Red22 w/ a Ratio ratchet conversion (one of two in use since 2021)

Derailleurs are DA 11 Speed in front, having one extra cable tension adjustment point, then an original NIB 10 speed SRAM XO Type 2 Exact Actuation. That cable movement spans 9spd through some 11spd and is required for Ratio to bolt right up. Otherwise, 11speed derailleurs w/ a removable cable guide is required, taking X-Actuation back to the era of co-mingled cable shift. The Dura Ace fronts-only had 1:1 pull ratios.

With AXS chains, a T-Type chainring can be used which takes the bike down to 14.05lbs/6.37kg with a tire swap, cassette freehub swap and removal of front mechs. Is something close to 14.5lbs/6.57kg now. When and if a new Red 10-36 cassette appears, there'll be a chunk of weight gone over a Force but, the bike's balanced and I have no complaints.

Also, T-Type Transmission Chains are not the same roller diameter as AXS. They are larger by 2 hundreths. So while they do function, it is not optimised for AXS. Somewhere in the new SRAM Red thread(s) it is said to be exactly the same, which it surely isn't. I suspect new Red gets new Chain.

Did this get posted? I didn't realize there was a kit to make the Force RD fit a 52t cog. Sub-14lb Aethos https://www.theproscloset.com/blogs/new ... drivetrain

Anyone have a line on the Aethos front disc brake adapter? (Part # S200700001). It's out of stock everywhere I've looked. Considering buying a frame, but don't want to to stuck forever waiting on a $15 brake adapter plate

Why not just drop by the nearest Specialized dealer and have them order it for you? Depends where you're located of course, but there's plenty in stock in the EU for example.

They never had them in stock. I looked for 2 years and still looking. What I did for a temporary/permanent fix was to take the Shimano adapter and Dremel the round hole to be elongated similar to the hole that’s on the top for adjustment. I ovalized it enough for sise to side play and worked. u bought mine used as well and the seller took the feint brake off and sold it with the caliper.

I do not recognize this. My brake adapter was missing with my SL8, which is the same as for the Aethos. Ordered by my Spec dealer and was available within 2 weeks.
