Thinking about getting a Caledonia as a replacement for my Canyon Ultimate as a travel and winter bike (fender mounts are awesome!)

Has anyone experience with both and can compare them?
I have concerns about the head tube angle, my Ultimate has 73.3° and the Caledonia has "only" 72°.

Hi all. I've just ordered a Caledonia-5 Frameset but I need to source a few parts.

Any help would be appreciated.
I'll be using a regular stem and bars, maybe integrated if I can find a clean solution like the soloist front entry.

My main issue is I'm missing the D shaped fork compression plug.
Does anyone know of an alternative in Europe, as Cervelo are out of stock.

I'll also change the QR axles to just bolt thru. Has anyone done this and have the relevant part numbers please?
I've searched and can't find anything.

Many thanks

Regarding the bolt on through axles I'd recoomend Robert Axle Project as thats what I'm using on my C5. On the web page you can put your bike model and it'll tell you the length needed. The Aspero,R5 and Soloist all use the same front and rear.
23’ Cervelo Soloist / 6.88kg - 1x Crit Bike
22' Cervelo R5 / 6.35kg - Climbing Bike
22' Cervelo Caledonia 5 / 7.55kg - Travel Bike
21' Cervelo Aspero / 8.06kg - Gravel Travel Bike

Another QQ.
My build will be a x1 with sram red or force chain set. Does the frame need a wide or regular chain set?
I assume regular but just checking as I can't find the info after searching.

Already got it down to 8,1kg with changing a few parts. Let's see where it will be when I'm done with it :)

I built mine this weekend, and it's currently sitting at 6.7kg.
I'm waiting on a few parts to complete it, and I'll post the details later this week.

super interested:) Mine is somewhere around 7.3 kgs with THM Clavicula SE, but only Ultegra Di2. Quite normal wheels around 1450g. I would have to go really weightweenie way to achieve below 7 kgs.

Does anyone know of any way that a C-5 can be built such that the handlebars can easily be removed and twisted vertically and placed behind the head tube for travel or is this impossible?

You're limited by the length of the brake hose. I've been playing around with the front end of mine, and if you did manage to stuff a few extra cm of hose into the fork/ frame, it would compromise the steering.

I guess you could go for the same lay out at the Soloist, with the hose running under the stem. That would probably work.

Good to know, thanks. Hoses under the stem is what I was hoping for but I don't have the frame yet so not sure how they would then be able to enter the headtube. Wouldn't it require a hole / guide at the front of the top spacer like my SL7 has?

Will check out the soloist thread.
