Anyway, I messaged Panda Podium and they've added Cal5 and Aspero5 spacer options to the Avian listings. User @skinnybex has fitted one to his R5 so waiting for him to post some pics when he's back.
Good information. Thanks.

Guys, is the caledonia 5's seatpost is compatible with SL7's or Giant D-fuse?
No, not sure why you would think that. Consider all these D-shaped/aero seatposts to be proprietary.

Yes, while they all might be D-shaped, it's always a slightly different D shape.

Get lighter thru axles instead of the ones w the levers. Should cut out some more weight.
Yup was planning on getting Blacklock thru axle
https://www.fairwheelbikes.com/extralit ... quantity=1 but they are really expensive. Haven't had luck finding other ones that I can actually order online.
Just ordered saddle and a seatpost from Aliexpress so should save 227g $76
Seat
Stock - 165g Ali
New: RYET 3D Printed 91g
seatpost
Stock - 256g
New: ELITA ONE Carbon Seat - 136g
Could you please send the Elita One seatpost link? Thanks

2023 Cervelo Caledonia 5
- Cassette: Sram Red 10-33
- Chainring: Garbaruk 42 oval
Hiya, Wonderfull bike! I'm thinking of builing a regular caledonia with a 9-36 / 44t Ekar group. Would you think it clears the chainstay?
Cheers, Lars

FWIW, SRAM/Quarq cranks with the 44t chain ring and 10-36 cassette work fine.

Thanks. My specific concern is the 9th sprocket though. Relatively quite a big jump in diameter from the 10, so the chain will be lower, possibly hitting the chain stay near the dropout.

Received and fitted an Avian Falcon II cockpit in 380x120. Weighs 295g so nearly 150g saving from my ST31/Prime aero bar combo. Really pleased with how well integrated this looks with the Cal5 specific 3d printed spacer supplied by Avian via Panda Podium.
Also a Hylix inline seatpost which seems decent quality and at 130g, 80g lighter than the stock Cervelo setback post.
