I've locked my rim brakes more than I have my 160 rotorEd disc bike..... not to discredit anyone's ability on a bike, just my experience up to now.

Braking 101 is to not start braking by grabbing a fistful of your brake lever. If you have problems with constantly locking your rear wheel in sudden situations then you have also problems with going over the bars in the same situation, or even worse you completely avoid the front brake because you fear going over the bars.

This bike needs more to differntiate itself from the rest of the $3500 crowd. Not sure what its niche is

I thought the same, the OPEN UP was a genuinely novel design. This isn't, nothing really jumps out other than the deficiencies like the ISP and oddly sized rear rotor, not to mention the price...

Are the frames made by Factor again? Owners of OPEN are originally from Cervelo. Would be cool if they have gone back to origins and gone with Factor as a manufacturer.

Factor doesn't exactly have the best reputation as a manufacturer.

ISP, weird IS lower, not even that light, very short reach. Who is the target market?

The reach is more towards where reach should actually be for most people. Reach on most modern road bikes is just too long (evidenced by the stack of spacers under most bikes)

Then the medium should have a 570-575mm worth of stack. 560mm is neither here nor there...it's taller than Trek's H2, but not as tall as a typical endurance bike.
