So Trek is still selling bikes with the recalled RSL VR-C handlebars? Or are these updated already?PlumzRichard wrote: ↑Tue Jul 12, 2022 4:17 pmTerrible photo as the angles all look weird but none the less my new SLR.

With some light parts you can get the bike to 6.8 kgs but not easily. It would require Dura Ace setup with light cranks/wheels. Expect your bike to be around 7.3 kgs rather than 6.8 kgs unless you change to dura ace with Clavicula cranks or use 1300g wheelset etc. But Emonda SLR is a very light frame so good starting point.

I have a 54 SLR, 9200 group set, SRM Origin PM, HED Vanquish 40mm wheels, Pro Vibe aero bars and Vibe stem, bang on 7kg with garmin mount, pedals and cages. The one piece Trek bars and lighter wheels would easily get you 6.8kg complete.FLtrooper wrote: ↑Thu Aug 04, 2022 9:26 amThank Youhannawald wrote: ↑Thu Aug 04, 2022 6:37 am160 front/ 140 rear is the most typical setup. Perfect! The wheels will be 35mm Feders with Carbon Ti hubs and the bars are the one piece Bontragers. Parts are slowly trickling in and I hope to have it completed within the next month.m3bas wrote: ↑Mon Aug 08, 2022 2:26 amI have a 54 SLR, 9200 group set, SRM Origin PM, HED Vanquish 40mm wheels, Pro Vibe aero bars and Vibe stem, bang on 7kg with garmin mount, pedals and cages. Recently my wife received her Emonda SLR Project One frameset we ordered back in December. LBS built it up with all the components we had ordered at the same time.
Emonda SLR 50cm Miami Green with Black logos
Dura Ace 9200 160/140 rotors
Dura Ace pedals
Sigeyi direct mount derailluer hanger
Bontrager Aeolus RSL 37 Wheels w/ GP5000s in 25c
J&L thru axles
Hambini BB
Schmolke bars and stem
Framesandgear garmin mount with GoPro mount underneath for light
Bontrager Aeolus Saddle with carbon rails
Bontrager seat mast cap with lightweight clamp
Bontrager XXX cages w/ titanium bolts
Bontrager Duotrap sensor
Total weight with pedals and all mounts was 6.75kg or JUST under 15 lbs. Was hoping it would be a bit lighter but what can you do?

She needs a 165mm crank so I couldn't figure anything out other than the Dura Ace crank. Really wanted the THM but that only goes down to 170mm.Cemicar wrote: ↑Fri Aug 26, 2022 2:42 pmSaddle and crank.pinkertonpunk wrote: ↑Fri Aug 26, 2022 2:19 pmWas hoping it would be a bit lighter but what can you do?

you can technically go with no spacers though maybe not advisable to avoid scuffing up the carbon top cap. otherwise a single spacer will work and because of the angle of the top cap it adds maybe 2mm?
see the pics one page prior that show two different slammed emondas.
given that you can use almost any stem you can be somewhat flexible through that choice too unless you go with an integrated bar.

bloody paint is always where weight weenieism and aesthetics meet that fork in the road. just need silverstone paint technologies to not cost five grand for custom painting!
