What's H1.5? Trek's attempt at reducing SKU's by 50%?

It’s pretty much the race geometry everyone else uses, so yes. :noidea:

They aren't the only ones. Every company in the industry seems to be trying to reduce in every way.

H1 was a complete waste of time TBH. My local shop has basically two regular customers that ordered H1 framesets since 2017, and I'm one of them.

The new Emonda will be introduced on the 18th of June based on dealers informations and even confirmed by Nibali on a social account.
Only H1.5 geometry, T47 BB, oclv800 for the SLR and oclv500 for SL.

People need to stop asking this.....brands want less SKU and not more
There will be no more rim models available for the next generation of flagship bikes

Agreed; and thats not saying its a something I want for msyself. My favourite personal bike is a 5yr old Parlee Zero and mechanical 9000 on rim

But going forward I want brands to commit to things; I want them to make their own cockpit; I want them to make wheelsets and tyres that are expressly designed to fit together
I want them to go disc and electronic only (for certain models)....
Becuase the purer the brief the better the outcome
And then everyone who wants a Campy SR12 build on tubs can choose an artisan builder...win win

Man after my own heart!! Minimal compromise and maximum focus from the big plastic brands, and steel/Ti builders or people like Bastion or Fifty One for Campy/Rim/Tub etc

June 18 would have been the release date had the TdF not been postponed. What I heard was August to coincide with the revised race schedule, but who knows?..

Are you just speculating or is this a rumor I missed?

It's pretty safe speculation considering the Madone is H1.5-only.
I'm a little surprised. I know H2 isn't a fan favorite around here but I thought it was a really popular option with the average joe buyers.

Average joe buyers don't really geek out over stack/reach numbers like us...whatever Trek makes, shops will push and ppl will buy.

Average Joe also buys an aero bike and put 30mm spacer (without pain) and a 90mm stem on it (ouch)!
It's like buying a Ferrari, ask for a rise kit for the wheels and but some huge SUV wheels/ tires....

It's like i read somewhere... race bikes are often too long and low, and endurance bikes too high and short (reach).
If you're inbetween (lots of spacers and race bike) or a very low and long stem (endurance).
Personally i would be inclined to look for a bike/ frameset that fits me or go custom (which would mean no discount bike/frameset)
(Canyon endurance fits me though)
Bikes:

Ax Lightness Vial EVO Race (2019.01.03)
Open *UP* (2016.04.14)
Paduano Racing Fidia (kind of shelved)

Ex bike; Vial EVO D, Vial EVO Ultra, Scott Foil, Paduano ti bike.
