If money wasn't an issue I would choose SLR, simply because it's lighter. However, I didn't have SLR money when I bought mine, so I went with SL. A bit porky, but I love it. Personally I think bikes are too expensive so I'd probably pick SL again and be happy with it.

Anyone hear any news regarding the RSL handlebar recall? I've only heard rumors floating around on groups but nothing official.

Yes, it seems all of the new style RSL road bars are being recalled, supposedly they are offering a standard aluminium stem and bar until a replacement is available which is due in around October. I do have the official statement but wont post it just yet.
The RSL bar-stem integrated?

Yes those are the ones, basically all RSL road bars, I said new as it obliviously doesn't include the older design which was "non-aero shaped".
My LBS has an Emonda SLR9 in stock in my size and I can have a pretty good deal at it. It's the SLR9 with Shimano Dura Ace Di2 2x12, Aeolus 37 RSL wheels, integrated Bontrager barstem, all the funky stuff. Quite tempting, especially in this pink to yellow fade colorway.
Now my question is: do you think it's worth upgrading to this bike from my current one (Scott Addict RC 2020 model, Force AXS 2x12 with Red crankset, Campagnolo Bora WTO60 wheels, Conti GP5000 TL tyres, Vision Metron 4D Aero handlebar)? How would the Trek ride and feel different? (unable to test ride the bike)

Had a blue SL 5 on order (deposit paid) since August 2021. Had it delayed 12 times until May 2022, when I said f it, cancelled my order and got my money back.
A week later, a day later I found one in stock at another shop from a cancelled order, hahaha.
Have since 100% strjpped the bike and am building it up slowly on Etap 22 and XXX2 tubeless. Won't make it to sub 7, which pains me a bit, though you get what you pay for on those SL frames.
Went for it as it has my favourite paint job of the lot.

I just ordered a size 52 Dark Prismatic/Trek Black SLR frameset and a 8170 Group. Hoping to be around 6.8 with a decent set of wheels and some other working man WW bits.
Being a rim brake guy, I’m curious what size and type of rotors are suggested?
Cheers

160 front/ 140 rear is the most typical setup. For Shimano groupset Shimano XTR rotors (slightly lighter than Dura Ace and ridden by Pros).
With some light parts you can get the bike to 6.8 kgs but not easily. It would require Dura Ace setup with light cranks/wheels. Expect your bike to be around 7.3 kgs rather than 6.8 kgs unless you change to dura ace with Clavicula cranks or use 1300g wheelset etc. But Emonda SLR is a very light frame so good starting point.
