Are those frame weights confirmed by you?
Just realised I'd left the plastic protector in the top of the seatpost.
1136g - Frame (inc. front + rear derailleur hanger)
198.6g - Seat post (inc. bolts)
396g - Forks (uncut)

1730.6g Total

Thanks!
The paintjob looks very cool and the frame rides really well.

I ride the 2021 matte rosewood in a size small and can't get tired of the paintjob and ride quality of the frame.

So after all this time and bumping to the top, does anybody have the inside line on a future TCR, or, if there is one 🥲

how is this even 8kg?

My size ML with 56mm wheels and porky parts are less than 7.5kg if I used lighter tires.

bike's went through several iterations.

Currently ordering the new propel bottle cages, will fit those up and see if they fit well.

Pic shown below is 7.5kg on the dot, with 28mm GP5K tires.

Maybe more than 8k cos Galfer rotors is lighter than XT.

No special light parts in my bike. Giant SL stem, Deda Super Zero, Full Ultegra Di2. Specialized Toupe Pro. Zipp 303s, Pzero 28 TLR…

The TCR from Bluetomatoo is the old TCR, so the frame/fork are heavier.

Hey guys, riding the Advanced SL, anyone facing seat mast creaking issues here? It becomes extra noticeable when putting down power on climbs or upslopes, torqued it to 4NM as per the spec.

The seat clamp rests on top of the seat post, If the seat post hasn’t been cuted square to perfection, the clamp can rock on top of it. The pinch bolt only prevents the clamp from faling over.

Try putting some helicopter tape or something thick that can isolate the interface between the top of the post from the bottom of the clamp and see if the creak persists.

I have the previous model TCR SL- here are my comments:
Grease the barrel that holds the saddle rails cradle bolt. It creaks in both model years if installed dry.

When removing the topper to grease it, check for cracks or defects on the bore/ hole where this barrel fits.
The short topper on my 2012 TCR Adv SL was machined too deep & the material left was too thin & cracked over time.

Check for signs of tolerance between the topper an the post itself. I added 0.02 ( 4 layers / 2 in the front edge & 2 in the back edge) of polyester tape (used to protect threads when powder coat painting) to reduce play between both parts. You can also use tubeless tape.

Don’t over torque the topper lower bolt. I use 3.5 Nm & it holds tight enough. Value on topper is 4Nm.

Have you been running your clamp above the seat post without spacers??

Does the polyester tape's adhesive make it sticky? I was previously using electrical tape for my spacers, and it collected grime and dirt overtime and realised the adhesive started forming on my spacers and seatpost itself, removed it completely and now my seat mast rests on the seatpost naked.

What's the quick way to tell them apart?
Thanks.
