The One piece bar they have wont come standard on any of the models - flagship will be the new Giant Contact SLR stem and bar.
Just ride ..

Well i just ordered a 2020 Advanced SL model a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately we went into a lockdown the next day for 4 weeks so I still don't have it, but this incoming model meant a very tasty discount on the previous model, and I'm kinda glad to see they didn't over-integrate the hydraulic lines, as thats the only bit I was less than 100% happy with! The weight reduction is nice, but I got the Force AXS equipped (SL 1) so its never going to match the SL 0 spec. It's a nice iteration but thankfully not so revolutionary that I regret buying the 2020!

The first thing I notice is an XS (so 6 frame sizes instead of 5!!). The S seems to be slightly bigger than the current S, while the XS seemingly takes the spot for riders @ 165, maybe to 170/172 instead of 175?

At 168 I'm very excited about this! Hopefully the XS does feature 170 cranks and 38cm bars. I have my hopes up for both.
Don't hold your breath. The current TCR has 6 sizes in the chart too, but you can only get the XS in a couple of select low level models. Some of the SL models don't even have the XL either. It's been their SOP for years and I'd be surprised to see it change.

That also makes me happy, I'll have to cough up a good pile of cash for the integrated bar once i've dialed my set-up in, so i'd be a little bit gutted if they made it standard on the SL.

Imagine scaring yourself into thinking “tubeless-only” is a thing. You can get away with using tubes in hookless rims, just use same tire pressures you would with tubeless...aka less than what you’re used to.

Good to see that they cleaned up the Di2 wire routing into a single port and have the junction box in the down tube if you want: (TCR ADVANCED PRO 0 DISC, 7.4kg)

Those look really nice, pleased they've kept a rim brake option too - although how many of those will be brought into NZ, I'm not sure...

Wow, that 2021 paint is on point. I was en route to getting a 2020 TCR but had a feeling this announcement wasn't far off, and held off... Ultimately ended up completely unexpectedly buying a Scott Addict, but could see a TCR in my future for fun.

Curious to see Canadian pricing, they've been very generous with the exchange rate here for years.

That matte chameleon SL Disc is on another level. Visible cables on disc bike is a big let down though.

There's some mind boggling design decisions with the frame. They route the cables externally to help maintenance and travel, a decision I applaud as someone who does all the maintenance on his own bikes and travels with bikes regularly. Yet at the same time the SL frame is electronic only, not even EPS, and for some reason chose to stay on the BB86 standard which isn't compatible with 30 mm or DUB cranks. Yes there are some BBs that make it physically possible to fit a 30 mm/DUB crank on a BB86 but that doesn't mean you should use them since the bearing life will be abysmal. The BB I could've dealt with but not being compatible with mechanical shifting kills this for me which is a shame since I've always loved TCRs.

Also those aero claims are pretty bold. Especially when they don't have integrated aero cockpits.
