Are these unfashionable things now desireable items?
I've got one, but it's a keeper. Peak rim brake IMO.
6.6kg with self-built Deerobust 38s, 25 mm Michelin Power Cup TLRs, SRAM Red, Garmin Vectors, cages, Varia and computer mount.
Keep an eye on eBay. There's an M/L for sale there now.
2023 framesets are still available from Giant if you don't mind paying full whack and like the colour.

Apologies for n00b question but...if I have an integrated bar/stem which accommodates hidden cabling, is it possible for this to work well with the 2020 TCR Advanced SL fork where - AFAIK - the front brake hoses are outside the fork? The bike is question is SRAM AXS equipped so no other cabling apart from brake hoses.
I'd imagine most integrated bar/stems will work as they generally have an exit for the cable near the centre of the bars.CornwallJon wrote: ↑Fri May 26, 2023 8:19 amApologies for n00b question but...if I have an integrated bar/stem which accommodates hidden cabling, is it possible for this to work well with the 2020 TCR Advanced SL fork where - AFAIK - the front brake hoses are outside the fork? Just noticed on Giants website, the TCR Pro frameset is advertised as "Advanced Composite SL" while the TCR Pro bikes are only advertised as "Advanced Composite". If true, this means the Pro frameset is different from stock builds with T800 carbon added.
Can anyone actually confirm this?

the only way to get Advanced SL layup on a conventional seatpost TCR is in the Liv Langma
I finally built my bicycle, the seat post clamp took 3 months to arrive. Using my old components and a R8000 Ultegra Groupset, the weight turned out to be 7.4 kg in a size S only a 400 gram difference compared with the same components on a regular Advanced M size frame...
I think I have lead components.

I had a client's bike with higher profile wheels, heavier components at 7.2kg with the normal advanced, while my Advanced Pro with lower profile, carbon spoked wheels with other weenie parts weighs at 7.4kg
Nope, regular rim brakes. Oh well, it sure looks pretty at least.MagicShite wrote: ↑Mon Jun 05, 2023 12:35 pm

You obviously have some heavy parts that you can replace. For comparision, my SL with Red AXS a few posts above is 6.6 kg with (heavy) pedals, mounts and cages, and nothing particularly weight weenie except the EE brakes and the Red cassette.Sand wrote: ↑Mon Jun 05, 2023 12:59 pmNope, regular rim brakes. Hi guys, anyone have any details on this colour TCR frame?
I was doing some Googling yesterday and it was showing this image for the frame '2023 Giant TCR Advanced Pro Disc Road Frameset - Orion Nebula', which is a pink looking paint and not the one pictured.
Wondering if this might be an upcoming colour.
