My steerer shim is also heavy at 15.5 g and was wondering about a lighter option too. Couldn't find anything online.

Was thinking of asking Lucendi if a carbon reinforced 3D-printed shim makes any sense.

Or, maybe custom carbon? I know some fabricators will do custom tubes and a shim isn't much more complex than that, in theory. Big caveat is I'm not an engineer :P

I just picked up the F1S for 11500 baht + 1500 baht for the SuperSixEvo spacer, this compared to 15000 baht for the super heavy cannondale know system/bar stem, quite a bargain and looks way better too

Shim used to be 5g but were breaking very easily.

F1 Bar stand-alone was (in your same size) 308g

and 345 with shim, heavy top cap and screw and gps support.

The early production runs of the classic F1 were lighter for the same size compared to later. Looks like some didn’t support internal routing, maybe that’s why?

My recently-purchased F1 in 360 × 100 is 331 g without computer mount and shim. Definitely not lighter than the new one :)

Classic F1, 360 × 100, 331.2 g
Classic F1, 360 × 100, 331.2 g

Aryeh, where did you order your alloy computer mount bolts? I’m not sure if the classic bar uses the same ones either. Anyone know?

Hi guys. I just bought a farsports f1S handlebar. Is it just me or I can't fit the garmin mount correctly?

Any instructions?
Thank you.

You need to rotate the insert so the screws are positioned vertically. It seems wrong because the bumps on the insert don't align with the wider horizontally positioned holes on the mount but it works.
I think they messed up, the Garmin mount is the same as the Wahoo mount.

So i was doing the right way but for some reason it seem really off. My garmin mount is so tight that it scratched the back of my Edge 530.

Thank you for your help.

The handlebar is installed. Installing it cost me almost as much as the handlebar itself because of the cable routing and brake bleeds.
My bike gained about 60g in weight but hopefully the aero gains will outweigh the weight penalty.
I'll post pictures when I get out on the road tomorrow morning.
