Just insatlled one on my MTB about two hours ago. Should be out on it in the next few days with another meter to compare it to.
I saw the post indeed, if someone is willing to compare data. It would be you, probably running 3 garmins on the MTB :) Would be interesting to see how the data is. I can't stand getting data that is worthless. Then id rather have no data.

Are you going to post some results here or can we expect a video?!

YouTube. Posting here doesn't pay the bills.... but in all honesty, it's a little known brand and the video will tank regardless of the data. If only people were as excited about power meters as I am... 🤣

Shimano XT M8100 crankset, should work with 4-104BCD I assume?
You can also get the 8-100BCD, disassemble your M8100 chainring and mount it on the Sigeyi spider

Well that's why I am happy you got one before me, then you can do your thing with all the comparisons and hours and hours of riding and I just have to watch a 15 min video about you diving in the numbers. Works for the both of us! Looking forward to seeing your results! And stay away from those birds!

Ah the default M8100 ring is a 8-100BCD? But if you would get that, would you still be able to get aftermarket stuff? The M8100 is a direct mount chainring, which works perfectly imo. But this powermeter uses a 4 bolt setup, which feels like a step back?

The 4-bolt is legacy, you can fit a lot of 3rd-party chainrings.

For the 8-bolt, you have to buy (or already own) and disassemble Shimano chainrings:
You can use SM-CRM85 and SM-CRM75. Don't know if Deore level will fit (Shimano number Y0L198040)

This is what I've done.... looks better than the 4 bolt but as mentioned, no aftermarket support...

Stone makes the new 8-100BCD rings.

There is no "international" link AFAIK right now, but their official taobao store offers them.

STONE only makes the 8-100BCD chainrings, but still no chainrings bolts for it. You can only remove the chainrings bolts from SHIMANO chainrings.
That 8 chainrings bolts are custom made by SHIMANO, there is no aftermarket products.

oh, there are definitely aftermarkets for those. I have been using the S-Parts Titanium bolts for those 8-100BCD bolts.

They have been making them since the early release of M8100.

Firmware apparently not available for the older models which follow the "v4.0" versioning pattern.

The update timing and changelog lines up with the new gplama video about the Magene spider power meter.
Maybe one of the users with more insight into the Chinese brands and companies can say something about the connection between Sigeyi and Magene.

Two rides with the 104 BCD Sigeyi AXO (RaceFace spider) - I had to scale it down 5.5% to match the Rally XC200 (which was a % or two higher than the DiretoXR..... acceptable given I'm testing on a dual suspension MTB on the trainer). More data needed with a few more pedal meters before I'll be happy with the down scaling. It'd be interesting to know why the smaller BCD meter reads high out of the box.....

Sigeyi now stocking their own branded crankset:

Not sure if still made by Zrace as the last one was, but it's nice to have the option. Nice to see that branding is minimal too.

They're in lockstep with Magene on this. Both making their own DUB compatible cranks.
