Gianni Vermeersch won UCI Gravel race.
BikeRadar noted that Vermeersch leaned into his cyclocross roots with narrow tires that would *almost* meet UCI specifications for ’cross: Vittoria Terreno Dry tubeless gravel tires that were 33mm in the front, 35mm at the rear.
His: Orbea Orca OMX
Hers: Cannondale Synapse HM Disc

That's a timely question. I am going on a holiday next year with lots of hardback gravel roads and was very tempted to build up a Topstone Lab 71. But it's only for a week and if I were smart and saving money I should strongly consider a more gravel oriented wheelset and tyres.
Yes, but it was a very specific race, not a typical gravel terrain.TLN wrote: ↑Mon May 22, 2023 6:34 amGianni Vermeersch won UCI Gravel race.

Many UCI road races have more terrain sectors than this one, Strade Bianche, etc....

35 Schwalbe G-One Allround. Too close for comfort but you could probably get 33s to fit ok.

I know it may sound stupid but make sure the tire is in the center of the rim when trying to fit them. Because of the wide design of the Roval front wheel it's nearly impossible to fit a tire when the thing isn't centered. Just a tip that saved me some time before.mistap wrote: ↑Fri May 12, 2023 11:29 amHey folks - what clincher tyres are you running on the original Roval Rapide CLX that are easy to take on and off. I have moved back to the Turbo Cotten's as the Conti 5000 were near impossible to get on and off at the road side but UK roads are not really loving the Turbo Cottens and are too puncture prone. Does anyone have any recomendations i am not looking for a tubeless.
TIA

Can you change the out-front mount without you need to remove the tarmac stem faceplate?
I want to change the original specialized out-front mount by one off k-edge in the hope that my wahoo bolt v2 and roam v2 don’t rattle so much then with the specialized bar fly wahoo adapter.

While you can remove the out front mount. You'd still have to remove the faceplate to take out the nut behind it.ODC wrote: ↑Wed May 24, 2023 9:53 pmCan you change the out-front mount without you need to remove the tarmac stem faceplate?

Controversial considering last nights giro TT but I recently went 1x on the tarmac. Super random set up. 52t front, 11-46 rotor cassette. Shifts really well. Took it up some steep climbs I usually do yesterday and definitely not under geared. Love the look of it too.
