I'm looking to lighten my TCR SL by swapping the current Mavic Cosmic carbon SL UST's (1490 grams) to Bontrager XXX 2 clinchers which come in at 1305 grams. The cockpit, Enve SES Aero 420mm (250 grams), Giant carbon Flux 100mm stem (150 grams), will be replaced with the new Extralite 1.25", 100mm, 80 gram stem, with a 400mm, 160-180 gram range bar. The bike currently sits at 14.03 LBS with Speedplay Ti pedals and Tune bottle cages. Looking to drop the bike in the 13-lbs range with pedals and bottle cages. What bar do you guys recommend?
One of the best looking TCR's I've ever seen......wouldnt change a thing!!
What brakeset are you using as they look mint ?

I have 40cm Easton E100 bars that weigh in at 175g. Compact bend, 80mm reach, 125mm drop. Love them.
I received mine today. I was a bit disappointed. It weighs 189 grams! Yes, 40cm wide.
Kick up an old topic. But I wanted to share my experience.

I have a preference for Easton for this particular build. I also have a MCFK bar which I'm very satisfied with and which is very lightweight.

Both of my E100 40c bars came in around 179g. The Easton bar geometry just work for me it's worth the extra weight.

BTW: had the same experience with Thomson bars. For again another build I ordered a 40cm Thomson carbon bar. Listing says 188gr. Real life is 203gr. So not only Easton is heavier but Thomson also.... And the MCFK bar in 40cm is listed 151gr and came in at 161gr.
Since losing grams is way harder then adding grams it is a bit of pity that it seems that all bars I recently bought come in heavier than listed.

MCFK is famous for its disability to use a scale correctly.

Well, I have 2 MCFK seatposts and they came in spot on weight.
I ordered a Cadex bar in 40cm for a new build. Should come in around 150/155grams. So let's wait and see when it arrives.
