I'm looking at the CyberDisc 339 Clinchers with the SPD-3 hubs but curious what bearings you guys are using - are the XD-15's really worth the additional investment? This bike will only be ridden in dry conditions.

The bearing options are:

ABI Abec5 highgrade steel
ABI 440C Stainless (+39 euro)
HDC Hybrid Ceramic (+200 euro)
XD-15 Ceramic (+600 euro)
Hi MarkoP!
what did you choose at the end? I'm interested in what you ended up with as I'm thinking of getting a set of Extralite hubs for an upcoming built.
Also if anyone has an idea or could chime in would be great
thanks

So, I didn't end up buying the wheels but I continue to be on the fence about it. I currently have Zipp 303 NSWs and just don't know how much of an "upgrade" the CyberDisc 339s would be over my current wheelset - I haven't been able to find much information on them to justify the purchase...yet.

You might want to read this viewtopic.php?f=132&t=171522&start=15

From the comments - the hyper-lite spokes may be a weak point, and the bearings may need some regular maintenance...., but with berd spokes and regular servicing for the bearings...., they seem to be usable sub-1000g wheelset if you are willing to invest

Any ideas on shipping times if you order wheels direct from Extralite and they are marked in stock?
