I have no doubt that any 12 speed chain will work. I've used an axs chain with my Campy crank and cassette for over a year. I found the force chains to be quieter than campy 12. A few weeks ago, I first used the new 10-36 axs cassette with my Campy 12 drivetrain, then later switched to a force axs complete drivetrain, except for my chorus 12 48/32 crank and Campy brakes. I have a huge 540% range.

I'm satisfied that the axs chain is the best choice.

Would anyone mind telling me what has happened to this crankset? I really like the look of this dura ace modification!

They aren't releasing the oversized chainrings anytime soon. Too embarrassing to admit they're selling a $3500 gruppo that costs watts in efficiency and weighs more. It is clean and shifts nice but man, that's a lot of money to give watts up.

Larger chain rings will require a new FD or some sort of adapter to get the FD high enough on most frames with fixed mounts. The axs FD is made to sit lower, for 50 tooth maximum rings.

late to the party! now six, seven weeks on non-axs 2x front chainrings, no problems at all.

I'm only a few rides into my new Red AXS group, coming from solely using Shimano groups in both mech and di2 for years. Currently have a GRX di2, 9100 mech and Alfine di2 bikes but decided to go AXS for the new one. I'm running a Flat top chain (stripped and waxed), Red AXS cassette and Easton EC90sl crank with Praxis 52/36 11spd rings. Initial impressions: shifting, while definitely slower than di2, its not to the point where it's bothersome but it's noticeable to say the least. Only issue I've had with noise is when I find myself cross chaining so I really can't fault Sram for that. Hoping braking feel/modulation will improve with some tweaking of the lever throw and a little more bedding of the pads/rotors. Swapping back and forth between di2, mech Shimano and etap hasn't really posed much issue.

Just to report back on the Extralite RC2 on Red AXS FD. The shifting is really bad on my bike no matter how I set it up.

Swapped to Carbon-Ti X-AXS 48T and the shifting problem is gone. The RC2 inner ring remains on my 110BCD 5-arm Quarq.

I swapped rings for some 48/36 praxis rings and it's a complete mess. The 52/36 were fine but it was just way too much gear so I decided to drop down to a 48. Bike is currently at LBS seeing if they can sort it out.

I have cheap, heavy, shimano grx 46/30 cranks working fine with force axs. I've used both the standard +2.5mm chainline and normal chainline with the use of chain ring spacing washers.

sorry late reply. nothing out of the ordinary. i just had to pull the FD all the way up to clear the 50t when shifting up or down.
little lag on the upshifts before it slots in but works for me. downshifts no problem.
you cant buy fitness, but you can buy advantage.

Hi guys,

I'm just hijacking this thread momentarily to aviod creating a new one.
I'm building up a Standert Pathfinder gravel bike atm. based on SRAM Force Etap AXS 1x12, meanwhile I'm also having a Canyon Aeroad on my way in December equipped with SRAM Force Etap AXS 2x12, but I would like to upgrade some parts to RED when it arrives.

My question is if I can buy the SRAM RED Etap AXS 2x12 levers to the 1x12 gravel bike and use it for some months, and when my Aeroad shows up swap the two so I have the SRAM Force 2x12 levers on gravel bike and the SRAM RED on the Aeroad.

My question is basically can the SRAM 2x12 levers be used on in a 1x12 setup without any issues?

Yes. All AXS parts are interchangeable.
