The sram sponsored pro teams use these so they dont have to use the inefficient 10t, not sure if these are available for the public
UCI rules say that they should be available to the public but we all know how well that is enforced.

If the Extralite works, then most others should work, or?

Do you know what cassette they're using with the 53/39? The black Red rings looks nice!

I've been holding out on crank options hoping for a standard geared 2x setup but I think I'm going to roll the dice with an Easton 50/34 setup. An 11-33 cassette would be primo.

As someone says on other topic - 9 of 10 malfunctions are electronic groupsets.

No idea ..... the only thing said by a mechanic from Ineos, that at least the Trek uses or has used some 12-speed cassette that started with 11 with 54 chainring.......if it is true or not ..... ???

How's shifting quality with those (beautiful) Extralite chainrings?

That is nice - no problem with those rings? They are not listed as compatible, but that's marketing I guess.
as in the post, more than 8 weeks in now, no problems so far. initially had a dropped chain going to big ring but fixed it with the FD limit screw, not with chain/chainring interface. actually wanted to try the carbon-ti axs rings, but since i already had these on the cranks, and the chain sat well around it, decided to give it a go.
you cant buy fitness, but you can buy advantage.

Does anyone have any information if or when the black chainring becomes available for the public?

Regarding the size. Mads was using 54/41for his Yorkshire victory, and that hasn't released yet, so I guess these huge chainrings will remain pro Tour only.

I put Force eTap AXS on my new build and love it. No shift wires to deal with and with the micro-adjustment you can get the drive train real quiet. I was skeptical about the tech, but man for my road bike I'll be sticking with eTap AXS. Future releases will continue to just get better.

Seems like cheap quick-and-dirty finish. According to construction Red AXS chainrings suggests to be machined, anodized and when take one more mashining pass to remove anodizing from face plate. For rings on photo last pass was omited.

Looks a lot better than the silver crank
