must be so nice to get on a high horse and preach on what's normal or relevant - of course if you had chcecked and compared, you'd know Cube has 20mm shorter stack (yes, and HT too) than *most* bikes at a given size/reach. anyway, thanks for the input!

It's not. See here is the geometry table for the Cubetymon_tm wrote: ↑Sun Feb 19, 2023 12:32 ammust be so nice to get on a high horse and preach on what's normal or relevant - of course if you had chcecked and compared, you'd know Cube has 20mm shorter stack (yes, and HT too) than *most* bikes at a given size/reach. anyway, thanks for the input!
Here is the geometry table for Tarmac
As you can see it's not any lower than Tarmac in the corresponding size.

Though once you include the requisite headset cover, the Tarmac's reach shortens by 3mm and the stack increases by 10mm. A 54cm Tarmac, Aethos or Venge all have an effective reach/stack combo of 384mm/544mm.
I agree the Cube is pretty average in terms of reach:stack ratio. As discussed elsewhere, there are very few bikes that are really, really long and low these days.

With my gen6 Madone, the stack was measured to the top of the split ring…unsure where Cube decided to measure theirs.
Worth pointing out that the Cube stem has a very low stack height around 3cm as well. Most conventional stems are around 4cm.

I mean, would it be too much to wish for to have manufacturers specify the actual stack/height...?TobinHatesYou wrote: ↑Mon Feb 20, 2023 11:08 am

I mean, the frame measurement is useless if the headset has particularly tall hardware.
The headset measurement is useless if you have particularly tall headset covers which may differ in height between the integrated and non-integrated ones.
There's no right answer, so here we are.

So true. As a small person the Cube Litening is quite literally out of reach. Most of the bikes in my size have a reach of 360 to 375 mm. Cube with their 390 mm at the smallest size (and the two above) is simply insane.

Round tubes and exposed cables. I'll say more than that.
Just out of curiosity, I've finally have riden my new 795 Blade and done my usual short ride where I have a 7,8 km climb averaging 4% with a short section at 9%.
I've riden the same route 2 consecutive days, one with the Blade and the other one with my 5960g Yoeleo R11 rim and became astonished with the results, since I was expecting it to be the other way around.
I was 16s faster with my 7760g Blade with the same exact power and similar weather conditions.
