Unless the have the exact same protocol as the Tour test you will get different results. Ie full vs half vs no mannekin, rotating wheels, same speed, same yaw sweep and same weighting of yaw sweep the results will be different. Heck, you'll get different results from different wind tunnels. 10 and 16W sounds like a similar ballpark to me without knowing the minutiae of the different testing protocols.

Well you probably have to factor the public relation and marketing aspect, boosting real gain by 50+% sounds about right

Doesn't seem to be as the Wilier Filante isn't listed

I'm soo curious about Factor Ostro VAM, which I'm consider to buy to replace Trek Madone. Producer talk so much about it's aero benefits but I can't find any independent tests.

Me too. Could it be more aero than the Factor One (@206 watts)? Entirely possible. The fork, which is the most significant front facing component, is a step up from most in terms of its advanced design.

Yes 227 with some envie wheels, quite a wide bar and mechanical setup (derailleurs external cables costing 2w as per Cannondale).

Indeed, I have no doubt that replacing the 42 or 44 bar by a 38 aero, more modern wheels and more aero tires and Di2 you are sub 220w easy. That is at the level of many climbing bikes.

2016 Scott foil premium tested at 216w.

New foil tested at 206w.

Scott says the new one is 16w "quicker" than the old one :noidea:
You can even make the difference be greater than that. Just test the bikes at 60 kms/h and it will probabaly be 20w quicker instead of 16. There's too many variables to account to. I just assume those numbers as an indication, not absolute figures.

On another note, Simplon just "appears to be" a faster bike than Scott's Foil just by looking at the tube shapes, and I don't believe in a shy 7w difference between those two! As I don't believe in the F12 numbers, even with the great fork clearance it has!

Not sure whether the first version of the Scott Foil was ever tested? Anyone got numbers if so?
