I have order Nexum Drag on Dec 21 2023, only to received it on April 21st 2024. I send it to lbs to install on my Dogma F, but there's a problem with it. The handlebar flex too much. Have email to Darimo on April 24th and April 30th, yet there is no reply yet. But on FB messenger, they reply to said they will look into it. What a poor customer service.

At this point, you have to be pretty brave to buy Darimo, it's heading the way of (Ted) Ciamillo..

This is sad. I was considering a SL8 seatpost from Darimo, but will now hold off.

Is there a good alternative to Darimo? I guess not.

Classic example of a good idea / engineer in a poorly managed company. History is littered with failures of this type.

You can be the best engineer with the best idea in the world, but if you don't organise your business properly it will not work out.

I cannot understand why Darimo does not invest and expand - make extra moulds, train and employ more people. Improve customer service instead of posting on Instagram, offering products that they do not have.

I live, work and run my own marine company in Spain. I love Spain, the country, the people, but things here happen very slowly and there seems to be little corporate or business training. I have doubled the turnover and profitability of the company I bought in 4 years simply by streamlining it and making it run properly, nothing genius there.....

Caution with Chinese copies

I'll give you a way to differentiate it, the first photo is from an original, look at the typography, which is not the same as the second photo, which is from an Alixpress powerhouse. Apart from this, they are only in 6th measurement.

Wow that was FAST! :)

Tomorrow will be 25 weeks from order date for my Nexum Drag, and they still don't have an ETA to ship.
TBH, I din't have any ETA either (although they at least answered my email twice after the initially quoted 10 week period was expired), until basically the package turned up with UPS suddenly :D

One photo better than million words.
Here you have it, a multiple of them.
A bit exaggerated by the strong sunlight, but the green stuff isn't reflection of the grass...
Looks pretty normal, if you wanted a cosmetic layer on top to look cleaner they offer the 3k pattern which also adds weight.

Its the other way around. UD is heavier because its the cosmetic layer.

I didn't think these companies make a seatpost for the SL8. Do you have links?

Does one of them make a really light handlebar with 36cm C-C (or less)?
AFAICT Schmolke does not.

Same but for a Soloist. Totally understand that the work and investment needed for non-round seatposts likely makes it a non-starter for most companies, but I'd sure like an option with a better clamp solution, as well as lighter weight.

My Nexum Drag arrived yesterday, so 26 weeks + 1 day from order date.

291g in 40/130, 6deg flare, UD, with the "reinforced" option. So only a 97g savings over the Momo bars, though the Drag is a bit longer (as intended). I do think the tops of the Drag will be more comfortable (for me at least) compared to the Momo.

From the "squeeze the drops" test, the Drag is flexier than the Momo. We'll see how it is on the road. Also will be curious to see how they did with the Evo4 adapter - that was the reason for the delay, as they did not have an EVO4 adapter in hand and had to source a stock adapter and then create a suitable adapter to match the Drag.
EVO1 | 5.37kg
EVO3 (sold) | 6.51kg
EVO4 | build thread coming soon
S5 Disc
SystemSix (sold) | 8.01kg
P5 Disc | heavy but fast

That is a massive weight saving off the momo bars which is already of a respectable weight! Glad you're not too concerned with the wait, at least you know the reason for it.

Has anyone had a custom seatpost delivered recently?

Ordered an SL8 post via R2bike, they say Darimo don't talk to them

8 weeks and counting. Which is fine, I expected a long wait, just like to know if it's likely to arrive this year or next :D
