Non High-Md, it was the cheapest ultegra mech build originally.

Can anybody help with the bearing size of the lower headset bearing?
Love it

Can't find exact specs of the lower HS bearing but it's a 1.5" and there's a few links below that will give you part numbers.

Seem to be in short supply though.

Nice!! How does it compare to your SuperSix?

Less comfortable than Supersix so I lower tire pressure a bit to compensate.
I can't tell if it's more aero in straight head or tail wind.
But it feel more aero in crosswind.
The handling (cornering and etc.) feel familiar which is not surprising as they both have 71.2degree HTA + 55mm fork offset.

Hi gwilson,

Glad you like your SystemSix!

The axle you linked won't work, because Speed Release axles are M12x1 double-lead thread, while most trainer axles are single lead. (The double lead is what makes Speed Release twice as fast to install: half the turns.)

But there's a workaround. Install this RD hanger, Cannondale part number KP419/, and the axle you linked seems like it should work.
https://www.cannondaleexperts.com/Canno ... _5509.html

This hanger, originally designed for Slate and Beast of the East, has single lead threads, so it fits the trainer axle. One nuance is the rear hub axle sometimes jams on the hanger's inside boss, but slip it past and it works.

As usual, be sure the trainer axle fits the left dropout as well. Speed Release is flat, while some others have a cone.

Cheers,
Damon

hello, sorry for bump this... but I really need a smart trainer for my Cannondale SuperSix EVO, as of today, which one can you recommend for less than 400 dollars? thanks

I found a deal on ebay a Kickr Snap with the KICKR SNAP 142 Adapter M12x1.0 Fine, it will work? or do I also have to buy the "Cannondale Derailleur Hanger for Slate and Beast of the East Rear X12 - KP419" ?

M12x1.0 doesn't fit Mavic speed release through axle.
So, you'd have to change RD hanger to change RD hanger to use more common axle standard. And I'm not sure if axle you propose fits.

Just find Kickr Core. Don't get Snap. If anything, it's way quieter and nicer to use.

"Double lead".
That's what doesn't fit a regular M12x1.0 standard which is single lead.

Does anyone who has the Robert Axle Project leverless thru axles have the part numbers for the front and rear thru axle they ordered? I'm a bit unsure if I have the correct ones in my shopping cart a.t.m.
