Just went with my 50mm wheels instead - 1440g
Theyre a much wider profile than the Knot's and i really didnt have the time to waste getting the knots relaced with CXRays
Got this down to 7.4kg as pictured - albeit without bar tape yet as refining setup

Yeah that stem is HEAVY!!
However - the cockpit is excellent, and I dislike bontrager anything, so willing to take the weight penalty there.
One thing I did notice in building this up (it's not a hi-mod btw) was just how much paint there was on it.
I think Cannondale pulled the same shitty trick with 2021 frames that Specialised were caught out doing on their updated tarmac frames - rather than stripping the previous colour way from the frame and repainting they just painted over what was there. Unless they use a flouro yellow primer!
Probably more weight to lose in paint than there is in stem/bars

Yay! I finally joined the club!
Managed to get a size 2018 Systemsix Ultegra with Knot64 for $2500 the other day. In my mind it was a great deal since it was in good condition. Usually they pop up without the Knot64 for the same price. Pictures don't make this bike justice. Looks really fast in the flesh. For some reason it looks a bit bulky from the side on photos. I have a new KNOT stem, stem cover and spacer kit on the way. I weighted the bike (size 56) and it came out at 8,6kg with a pair of entry level temporary spd pedals i will obviously switch out.
The previous owner had routed the wires internally. It works surprisingly well but I think this frame deserves electronic groupset which leads me to upgrading/rebuilding the bike during winter months. Ultegra R8070 DI2 is my target. 12-speed does not interest me at the current price point.
Any tips or ideas on how you would build it up?
Any issues with going 24mm shimano cranks with something like CBear BB?
Any issues with sprint shifters and ST-R8070?
Did anyone manage to get a zero offset seatpost?
What upgrades with a bang for the bucks mindset would you have opted for?
I'm 74kg. It's quite flat around here so I don't think I have to be too obsessed with weight. I have a sub 7kg Caad12 to mix things up.
Thanks!

The CBear PF30A BB for shimano 24mm cranks is brilliant - it solves the problem of the continued idiocy of Cannondale BB30 bottom bracket vs HollowGram cranks which will almost inevitably result in creaking.
Shimano Hollowtech II all day long.
'Zero offset' (some debate as to whether they are actually zero offset given frame geometry) posts are readily available from retailers of Cannondale. FWIW the 'zero offset' post gives an almost identical position to the zero offset post I've had on previous bikes so tbe rhetoric about it not really being zero offset is bollocks - it's all relative to frame geo anyway and position relative to your other bikes / the position you're trying to achieve.
The knot 64s are great wheels in theory but are heavy for a £2k wheelset - worth giving them a weigh aswell as I found out that not all knot64s are equal - some are laced with cheap plain gague spokes which add even more weight, and are a further nod to manufacturers trying to have peoples pants down. £2k for an almost 1800g wheelset with plain gague spokes..... nope, no matter how 'aero'
Depends what 'bang for buck' you're looking for and what you class as bang for buck but immediate improvements:
Performance: Di2 group and proper crankset
Weight: wheels
Looks: cockpit
$2500 is cheaper than most top end frame sets, so if I was you (and I literally was 2 weeks ago) I'd strip it back to bare frame, sell all the bits currently on it, get the knot/save bar/stem combo, get a Di2 group, get some nice light stiff wheels.
The frame is comfy as hell, and very fast once wound up, and the routing and build was a hell of a lot easier than some other aero frames ive built in the past like the madone.
Bloody bargain at $2500 in the current climate btw - strong move

Wow, thanks for that great post. Very appreciated.
I think I will get rid of the groupset and install Ultegra DI2 like you said. Proper Shimano cranks with that Cbear PF30A BB. I'm not a big fan of the spiderings on Aero frames.
I think I will give the wheels a go and based on how much of an issue the weight is I might sell and get some other ones. What other options are there? I checked the FFWD Ryot 55 but they are around 1700g. Maybe it doesn't get much lighter with external width rim around 30-32mm in those rim depths.
Regarding the seatpost - current one is 35mm. I've seen one called zero offset but whether or not it actually is zero I don't know. Does it exists or is it discontinued? I have only found it on some odd sites so far and never in stock.
Handlebars are 42cm. I run 38cm on my CAAD12 so will probably switch to something more narrow as I think that is a key component on an aero bike.
...and a proper mount for my headunit. The stock one is surprisingly ugly
I'm a happy man

Yeah - not sure where you are as I'm UK based but I ordered some RaceWare mounts - one with light bracket and one without - they attach to the underside of the bar/stem bolts and keep the profile nicely.
I have only managed to find two different seatpost options - the one you have and the one that came with my frame, the 'zero' option which is this one:
https://cannondaleexperts.com/products/ ... six-k26080
On the wheels; I gave up on OTP wheels a long time ago. The last 5 or 6 sets ive owned I either bought as full custom spec'd wheel sets or rims (and added hubs ive bought and got a local wheel builder I know and trust to build up) from LightBicycle. Their rim choice, quality and performance far supercede brand names charging four times the price for a much lesser product.
Lead times can be a little long but it's well worth the wait.

Perfect. I have ordered other mounts from RaceWare and it seems to be decent quality.
Thanks for the link to the seatpost. I added myself for when they come in stock. Need to survive another winter first so there's no real hurry.
These wheels look interesting to me and seem to cut down the weight with 200-300g vs KNOT64s:
WR65 - 32mm external, 25mm internal
WR50 - 32mm external, 25mm internal
Both wheelsets around 1550-1600g.

The front Raceware mount for the SystemSix (or current EVO) is indeed a great mount if you are just using a bike computer. The Raceware combo mount is also great for a computer and relatively lightweight bike light. But if you are looking to use the Raceware combo mount with a GoPro or other camera underneath, you will likely find the video quality lacking as the Raceware mount is not stiff enough. Even with a lightweight GoPro Session underneath, I found footage to be too shaky. If you need a camera underneath, the Frames and Gear mount is much better (it's metal).
As far as the rear seatpost mounts that Raceware offers to match the seatpost dimensions of the SystemSix (and current EVO), they might be OK with a lighweight bike light, but mine broke almost immediately with a Fly6 CE Gen 2 at 110g. Maybe a Gen 3 at 77g would be OK, but I don't know since the mount is broken and in the end, I didn't trust it.

Does anyone have experience trying to run the Enve 4.5AR's with this frame? Given my rather large reach and stack fit requirements I'm giving serious consideration to the 62cm frameset and would love to match them up with my 4.5AR's.

If it's the rim widths; I run 32mm wide external (at the bead), 25mm internal, 50mm deep front and rear rim with a 28mm GP5000 which comes up at 31mm.
Enve 4.5AR are 31mm wide external (at the bead) 49mm deep front and 30.5mm wide external (at the bead) 55mm deep rear and are both 25mm internal so in theory you should have no problems at all running a 28mm tyre on them and having plenty of clearance.
I'd even say there's potentially the clearance for 30mm tyres - will be trying soon.
