Options:
SHIMANO K05Ti-RX ~13€ pair
SHIMANO L05A-RF ~13€ pair
Galfer FD496 G1455 ~15€ pair
TRICKSTUFF 270 STANDARD ~18€ pair
SWISSSTOP 34 RS pads for ~20€ pair
TRICKSTUFF 270 POWER pads for ~23€ pair
Or is there something good, that I have missed?
Should I just go with cheaper Shimano organics, or pay a bit more for swissstop or trickstuff?
I couldn’t find Swissstop 34RS anywhere and still using Shimano L05A on the Hope RX rotors with good bite.
I'm currently using Hope RX, with Shimano B05S- they are excellent.
I was using swissstop e which were decent, but was very disappointed when I tried the RS version.

Is the Shimano B05S resin pad material same as the L05A? Its about 1/3 the price...and do they fit in DA 12-speed calipers?

B03S and B05S pads do not fit in 105/Ult/D-A Caliper, you need either L or K series pads.

I'm looking for discs for long descents for red Axs. Paceline and centerline will fade eventually. Does anyone have a good suggestion?Maybe other brake pads?
Might I recommend the rotors from brake stuff (
https://brake-stuff.de/en/brake-discs/)? Specifically their XT and punch design. They come in a variety of widths (1.8-2.2 mm) and are very resistant to fading and warping. They are heavier thatn most of the rotors out there, but for the use case you're describing, it seems like a reasonable compromise. I'm personally using the their XT rotors and haven't had a problem yet.

If your fork can take a 180 rotor, use one. No road frames can take a 180, do they? Going up in size makes the biggest difference in how much heat a rotor can take and how fast it sheds heat. For sure, avoid resin or organic pads.

Only Merida off the top of my head which Mohoric used to his advantage to win Milan San-Remo along with that dropper post.

Use 2.0 thickness rotors like SRAM HS and Magura Storm HC.
