I have a set of brand new 172.5 DUB Cybrei for sale. Also available 4x110 spider. Will let it go for better than any BF sale.

Going a different direction hence the sale.

DM if interested.

Just got the 50/34 Rings (weights below for reference) for a bargain in the BF Sale.

27.5g for 34 Tooth

Quick question, has anyone removed the Cybrei Logo's on the big ring, I have tried Nail Polish (acetone and non-acetone versions, White Spirit and Meths) to no avail. Any suggestions?

Worked out how to remove the logos..

Ahh sorry, didn’t think anyone would want to know!

Application of elbow grease and T-Cut (Cutting compound used on Cars) had it off.

Hi everyone! Just wanted to share some experience (albeit not with the product itself yet) for anyone doing research and considering how to buy the Cybrei crankset especially the new 24mm spindle.

I went to Cybrei directly as the product was still not available on Panda Podium who told me they will get it in 2 weeks or so, while Cybrei told me it is available to order through them directly and so I did.

This whole experience proved to me the main reason why PP should exist and why buying through them is so much more worth it. From the get go the comms with the Cybrei sales rep were confusing and awkward probably due to language barrier but also there seem to be inconsistencies with the info they were giving me. One day they told me the crank will be shipped in 30 days, the next day they told me it will be shipped the next day if I place the order now..

Price wise I was expecting to pay less than going through the middle man but that didn't end up being the case, actually it was the opposite because while their prices are a bit lower you need to pay $40 for shipping while PP offers free shipping. So I ended up paying $732 for the crank with alloy chainrings and spider which would have cost me $699 on PP with free shipping...

Payment itself and placing the order has been yet another hassle- payment is done only via a bank transfer (which can incur fees too on top) and once confirmed no order number or confirmation email is sent. When I requested that for record keeping and warranty I was told the number of the pro forma invoice is sufficient.. pretty bad sales practice if you ask me and I only hope I never need to deal with this order post-sales.

Finally, when it comes to the shipping somehow both FedEx (quick) and Tax free (slow shipping) cost the same $40. I was told once the transfer was done my crank will be sent the next day, once I followed up 4 days later I was told it isn't yet picked up by the courier.. 7 days later today I still don't have a tracking number despite multiple follow ups and responses by the rep that it will be available the next day..

Overall as it looks my crank won't arrive as quickly as I was promised during the sale, it will end up being more expensive than through a middle man and it will be a massive pain to ever raise warranty issues with this order as all proof of purchase I have are some scattered emails.

The purpose of this post is to advise everyone wondering to definitely buy through Panda Podium, Cybrei don't seem to be ready to handle d2c orders particularly well in the West right now. Not to mention it is even cheaper to not go directly to them which is bizarre. I have previously had great experience ordering Farsports directly from the brand over emails but Cybrei are really not there yet!

Hopefully my next post will be positive once I eventually receive the crank and install it.

Just to add another experience as mine has been quite the opposite. :D The contact with Cybrei direct has been positive, all email replies within one day, sometimes even less. I purchased the regular dub cranks and the 56/40 chainrings which are not yet available at PP and the price turned out to be the same as PP (including the $40 shipping fee). With bank transfer payment the cranks were shipped with FedEx almost immediately and I received them in the EU 4 days later.

Hi all,

I’m interested in Cybrei chainring user feedback. I’ve been using a Cybrei crank for the past 8 months and love it. The plan was to pair it with Carbon ti chainrings but I’ve been sat in a waitlist for the last 6 months. Sourcing them through my LBS has turned out to be a nightmare. Even now online there is a long waitlist.

I’m tempted to give the Cybrei chainrings a go. Personally I love the look of the Carbon ti chainrings and by all accounts shifting experience is good especially with the newer Evo series. How does the Cybrei chainrings compare to Shimano?

so wondering why is the diff between the cybrei vs elilee 24 mm ti axle cranksets.

cybrei claims the stiffness is identical to the dub version

CYBREI GP-3 24 AXLE CARBON CRANK ASSEMBLY
$489.00

The CYBREI carbon fiber crank took 3 years from concept to implementation. During this period, it passed testing from UCI teams and World Tour racers and had good feedback. Our goal is to reduce the weight of the bike as much as possible without sacrificing stiffness. Compared with other cranks on the market, our carbon fiber crank surpasses them in terms of intensity and lightweight. CYBREI provides crank leg lengths from 157,5 to 175mm,in order to giving riders more choice.

Thanks for weighing in! I am frankly jealous.. did you end up paying any customs fees on the FedEx shipment in the EU?

I wanted that given the price was the same but was told I need the slower method to avoid fees. (Though at an earlier exchnage the sale agent said they can "lower the price" to avoid fees but then did not end up doing it and posted the slow shipping)

Yes I did end up paying customs but the items were 'slightly' undervalued and it was in the region of $15 for the fees :D Which I guess was worth since it arrived hassle free in less then a week. Especially considering the fact it was holiday season here in the EU.

Anyone know if it is possible to just exchange the dub spindle with the new 24mm titanium axle?

No issues running my DuraAce rings on the Cybrei Dub crankset / XCADEY power meter.

Update on the 24mm axle cranks I ordered. I have to say I owe to correct myself on the feedback around delivery and customs I gave for purchasing directly from Cybrei. The "slow shipping" that was meant to take 20-30 days arrived today which is about 10 days since it got shipped, no additional charges had to be paid so pretty impressed with that.

Below I wanted to share the individual weights of each part and configuration if anyone is trying to do the maths. Real world weights confirmed!

Super impressed with the weight, feels good in the hand, packaging was sophisticated you can tell these are premium products- installation will be in a couple of weeks and will report on ride feel then!
