Did you have any problems with seatpost, bottom bracket etc? Are the headset bearings standard or some hard to source propriatery stuff?
When looking at the geometry table is the stack figure measured without top cap (I've seen short and long on pictures)?
I am deciding between scott foil RC 20 2024 (black glitter paintjob) with modern Syncross 60mm wheelset and di2 which I can get for 4700€ or this basic version of Soloist for 2600 . €
Scott as a frame is probably a bit more aero but actually heavier and has a lot of propriatery parts (seatpost, 1 inch steerer) and bb86 which limits me with 24mm spindle...
Aesthetically I like Scott a bit more but it seems like a "difficult" bike to live with, service etc. I am actually leaning more towards the Soloist and for 2600€ I doubt I could get a better aero/all rounder bike.
Any other advice to help me decide?

I have had no real issues with mine. I am running a BBinfinite bottom bracket and it spins silky smooth. Atfirst I had a tiny intermittent clicking noise from the bottom bracket after first building it up but determined that to be from not tightening the bottom bracket enough. the torque spec is 30NM and i didnt have an adapter for my torque to BBinfinite tool so just hand tightened, ended up getting the adapter and torquing it properly and the noise went away completely. I think the beauty in a T47 is that they are quiet and more reliable so Id be really surprised to hear of any major issues. Never experienced seat post slip either in the 3,000 miles ive put on mine
My advice is to go with the 2600€ soloist frankly because I always think its better to have a bike with all components spec'd the way you want than a complete stock bike. with the soloist over the scott, youll be able to upgrade to the exact length/width handlebars you want, cranks, wheels, etc. and be around that 4700€ mark and likely save a ton of weight in the process

What does it mean regarding fit and maneuverability?twoangstroms wrote: ↑Sat Sep 07, 2024 9:13 pmFit? The seat angle on the Soloist may be too slack for some (though for me it's a godsend).
Do you mind me asking where are you getting that price? Im located in Europe and i want to buy a frameset also.
Picked up my Gold Dust last week. Loving the bike so far, rides really well and IMO looks beautiful.
Looking for a few lightweight upgrades atm and I want to replace the stem with something lighter/nicer, is there any stem (something like Zipp) that lets me use the Cervelo stem frontplate? I quite like the frontplate mount.
If not, any suggestions for a carbon lightweight stem? I'm running Pro Vibe Aero Alloy bars and not looking for a fully integrated solution just yet.
Thanks!

Beautiful bike! Unfortunately I’m falling in love to tropical sunset one

Not the cheapest upgrade but a Red chainset will save a few hundred grams. Even crank arms only (£400) should save 300g or so I think...IgorFB wrote: ↑Tue Oct 15, 2024 3:58 pmPicked up my Gold Dust last week. Loving the bike so far, rides really well and IMO looks beautiful.

I was looking at PM options so I think I will save up a bit more and get the Red PM Chainset.
I've got a Ryet on the way. I did not like the OEM saddle...
Agree, that is also a lovely colour! Couldnt justify the £££ thoughlukaszzsch wrote: ↑Tue Oct 15, 2024 4:07 pmOT

In the end Soloist was too good of a deal to pass. Was deciding between Soloist and Foil but I think I can build Soloist lighter and it has threaded bottom bracket (I had big problems on a previous bike with bb86 so now I have press fit PTSD).
The good:
Even the cheap mech 105 model with trash wheelset and tires rides nice. Latest gen mech 105 is just very solid. Shifting is good even with full internal housing and brakes are excellent. Bike has replacable through axle inserts and in general all of the small parts look quality and well made. Gold dust looks a bit dull in overcast lighting but in sunlight it looks amazing.
The bad:
Seatpost design is not great. It is a pain in the ass to adjust saddle angle and I can't really depress saddle angle enough because front top yoke is hitting the seatpost.
I wrote to Darimo if they have any plans of designing a Cervelo Soloist but sadly their answer was "not at this moment". Maybe if more people are interested we could presuade them to make one. I'd buy one because the stock one is a pain in the ass to adjust.
Some posters also modded their seatpost by replacing the cradle and yoke with aftermarket (elite one from aliexpress for example...)? Anyone has any other good options/comments? I searched for Hylix seatpost but I don't think they make one...
Will post pictures of the bike once I swap the wheelset...

I literally did the same thing, emailed them last week about the seatpost and got similar response.Rough wrote: ↑Fri Oct 18, 2024 3:40 pmI wrote to Darimo if they have any plans of designing a Cervelo Soloist but sadly their answer was "not at this moment". I'm also interested in any seatpost mod/replacement solution. Can you link me to these aftermarket cradle and yokes?
Thanks
Maybe if we organise some sort of a group buy or at least let them now that there is a lot of interest for the seatpost they would make one?IgorFB wrote: ↑Fri Oct 18, 2024 3:44 pmI literally did the same thing, emailed them last week about the seatpost and got similar response.Rough wrote: ↑Fri Oct 18, 2024 3:40 pmI wrote to Darimo if they have any plans of designing a Cervelo Soloist but sadly their answer was "not at this moment". I am still searching but I had something like this in mind (this one has the added benefit of better fore/aft adjustment range because the actual clamping area is shorter):

What I'm trying to achieve is that front part of the yoke/front yoke is higher in the middle part so it avoids collision with seatpost body when you try to lower the angle of the saddle.

Definitely true about the saddle clamp design. I have other saddles sitting around but I'm going to wait until I see my coach to replace the one I'm wearing out because the last time I adjusted the saddle is was such a huge pain. (And my coach has more tools. And lasers to measure things)
I ordered a carbon cradle from elita one and some titanium yokes that fits perfectly. If you zoom in the pic you could see that. Now my bike is perfectly at 7kg sharp with cage/pedal/mounts etc...IgorFB wrote: ↑Fri Oct 18, 2024 3:44 pmI literally did the same thing, emailed them last week about the seatpost and got similar response.Rough wrote: ↑Fri Oct 18, 2024 3:40 pmI wrote to Darimo if they have any plans of designing a Cervelo Soloist but sadly their answer was "not at this moment". I order from s-parts which I have ordered all Ti screws from them, but I guess Ti-parts is also okay? Also added to this, the 3d printed brake adapter with all Ti screws in the same matt rainbow color is pretty sick. It weight 6.8-6.9g, but it is more for the appearance.
23 Cervelo soloist 7.00kg
20 Cannondale CAADX 9.0kg

Was it any of these, posted above?jc5650 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 21, 2024 5:07 pmI ordered a carbon cradle from elita one and some titanium yokes that fits perfectly. If you zoom in the pic you could see that. Now my bike is perfectly at 7kg sharp with cage/pedal/mounts etc...
