is the 15nm dry torque or wet?

I must imagine 10nm with good grease is already sufficient.
If you check the manual it is 15 Nm for a greased bolt.

Does the manual specifically instruct to grease the thru axle? I don't believe it does.

Just take into consideration that when the day comes when you have a flat on the road and have to remove your back wheel, you're able to get it off with your tiny saddlebag multitool. Easy to forget..
Just get yourself a proper multitool like this one from Topeak:
https://www.topeak.com/us/en/product/77 ... ET-LITE-DX

The ratchet arm can be extended giving more than enough leverage. You can even get models with Torque wrenches built in, like the one from Silca. Or cheap knock off versions on Ali Express. Properly packed in the saddle bag they don't take any more room than a tire lever.

Manual says to grease the thru axles so wet.

SL8 manual does not but the SL7 does. It is pretty common knowledge to grease the thru axle.

Agreed, and I also grease mine. I'm just wondering why it was omitted from the SL8 manual. Probably just an oversight.

Very nice! Love the Campy wheels, you should be around 14.75lbs with the Ultra's.

Mine is at 15.59lbs with pedals, light mount and garmin mount (size 56cm - looks like yours is the same size?). Just weighed mine yesterday 'cause I don't think I ever weighed it with pedals.

I think all torque values are wet values on a bike..

That looks like a good tool; however, where I ride, adding 100g of weight for the multitool is not desirable.

Compliments, beautiful bike!

Is this the 3T prendo speed bar tape?

I had the same expectations before my bora ultras arrived. Unfortunately, there where no weight gain at all measurable.

Which Enve bars do you have? I can see transition from bars to hoods is much smoother as in my case (rapide cockpit). And since I do have some issues with ergonomics one of possible solutions I am tinkering with is SL7 stem + enve ses ar aero bar. Not sure I would solve anything by just going narrower using same cockpit (from 40 to 38, which I use on my previous bike and prefer it a whole lot).

Thanks for the compliments!

@boyce89976 love the black/white frame. Goes well with the gloss DA groupset.

@Ol3Tarmac thanks for the build specifics. The caliper bolts were spot-on. That's Lizard skin jet-black tape.

@Gaba I went with Enve compact road bars. I had them from my prior build, liked them, and figured I would keep for ease of flying with the bike. I couldn't find the Rapide cockpit in my size anyway even though I like the aero look/gains. Maybe you just need to play with the shifters a little more to improve the transition.
