I just checked the exact bolt measures.rollinslow wrote: ↑Fri Aug 02, 2024 10:03 pmDo you happen to remember if the Campy front caliper came with the bolts to attach the caliper + Specialized 160mm adapter to the fork? Just got my new SL8 and wondering if I need to order bolts and if so, what legth? Thanks!Ol3Tarmac wrote: ↑Wed Jan 31, 2024 9:29 amMonths ago the part situation with Campagnolo was a disaster. The alternatives were to set the project on hold for maybe 3-4 Months or get a different caliper. So I ordered a single DB-R141 from the SR EPS generation which does the job. Only update compared to the WRL should be the brake pads.
I ordered the 34mm variant for the rear caliper.
Campy provides this chart to choose the right length.
However, the chainstay from the sl8 is somewhere between 24-25mm.
This brings up the question, whether it is save to ride caliper bolts which enter only about 5mm into the caliper. Are there any rule of thumb, how long a flat mount caliper screw should be?

Does the rear NDS chainstay and fork require a grommet for the brake hose?

Hello, I have to post my impressions. I recently upgraded from a Venge S Works 2019 to the SL8 S Works.
Upgraded 9170 to 9270 too. Kept the wheels CLX50s, tyres GP5000S TR and saddle S Works power with carbon rails.
My goodness. Night and day different. For the better.
- A lot more comfortable, it's incredible
- Does not feel any slower
- Circa 300 lighter overall
- Climbs much better in particular when the gradient goes up
- Descend much better, more stable
Just sharing as there are still quite a few people on the Venge who might be considering this move.

I doubt they'd make a clx iii this soon after the team version if that's what you're asking. I'd think that'd eat into the sales of the team versions?
Maybe a lighter Alpinist CLX Team though? Who knows.
I ask this because it seems that the team version is out of stock on practically every website you look at...gurk700 wrote:I doubt they'd make a clx iii this soon after the team version if that's what you're asking. I'd think that'd eat into the sales of the team versions?
