Make sure your bottle cages of choice work with the Caledonia-5’s hatch before you buy them.
These stainless steel King Cages are too tall and they prevent the hatch from fully opening.

Really disappointing update. No UDH. No threaded BB. To use the frame storage you can only have 1 bottle cage installed. Cervelo was so hard pressed to highlight anything new on this bike that they showcased a free hammerhead Karoo headhunit if you purchased the top spec SRAM Red lol.

Not true - you just need to flip it the other way round as shown in the figure that was posted.

That said yes, a lazy update. I don't get why they'd keep BBRight on this while they have T47 on the racier Soloist.

Shame about the lack of UDH, SRAM 1x13 could have been a viable set up for anyone wanting to use this bike as an All Road one which is very possible with the new tyre clearance.

I was really hoping to see UDH. It was going to give indication on whether UDH would come to the soloist. I really want a 1x 13 speed on the soloist.

I have a previous cal 5 and have had WAM 38mm on that with plenty of clearance.
I'm not really seeing this as much of an update

I'm surprised there is no UDH

You are limited to the 10-46 cassette with the current Red AXS XPLR 13spd. That wouldn't work on my Soloist for me, which is running 1x (52) with 10-36 cassette.
However, on the gravel bike a 1x (46) with 10-46 cassette 13spd would be ideal imo.

BBRight's fine honestly. Maybe slightly topped by 386Evo, but I wouldn't take T47 over it per se.

The problem is not the BB standard, but manufacturing of it. I'd prefer a decent pressfit over a mediocre threaded BB.
Cervelo S3 - 7.3kg - sold
Surly Cross Check - heavy
Time ADHX - 8.7kg

Absolutely this.

And I’d prefer a decent threaded BB over a mediocre pressfit BB, funny how that works. What’s really important is the likelihood of inheriting a frame with a poorly made BB, and in my experience the molded (and hopefully machined) pressfit shells are more often worse off than bonded in metal rings.

Moreover since I test different power meters on the same bike, it is nice being able to non-destructively swap BBs in and out for 29/30mm and 24mm cranksets.

Haven't had a problem with PF BBs that thread together. Not particularly worried by BB spec personally.

To say this is a disappointing update is an understatement. Who is the product manager at Cervelo who thought it was smart to ignore all the obvious requirements to be competitive in this hot segment? I had the previous bike and loved it but it badly needed updates that I've waited 3 years for. And now this?

Come on guys, do you not realize bikes like the Endurace exist? Get your s*** together.

Is the issue the 2-piece cockpit and the non-DTC pricing?
