Also because the clamp is asymmetrical, so the top bolts have no gap

Is that issue with damaging the bars still happening? I ordered an Uno from Fair Wheel and I'm worried to install it on my new Roval bar. This is the stem I bought - https://www.fairwheelbikes.com/fair-whe ... -stem.html
There's no issue and it's not damage as long as you dont torque beyond spec. It's also mostly bar dependent (softness of the coatings). A soft coat will leave marks but it isn't the carbon.
Oh good, thanks for clarifying.

I have a question regarding the obligatory Titanium bolts for the two-piece bar clamps on the new version of the stem. The issue is that the M5 steel bolts which come with the stem have a fairly small diameter head at 7,9 mm. The smallest Ti bolts I have are 8,5 mm.
Anything above 8,0 mm would be a safety issue IMHO as the bolt, or rather the washer, would damage the clamp when tightened.

Has anybody found fitting bolts on Ali E.?

Are these legit Kalloy Uno's? $20 is hard to beat but I'd rather not die when trying to sprint (85kg).

I have a couple Kalloy Uno AP's 7050 from ebay new ($15-30)
legit stems
I wouldn't pay $50+ for one. That's quite a bit of markup.

No but I have ground down the heads titainium of bolts down to fit. If you put the bolt in a drill and rotate them while holding the bolt head against a grinding wheel you can quickly get them down to size.

Thanks for the reply. Since I haven't been able to find anything below 8.5 on Ali E. that might be my only option...

Instead of using Ali for safety critical components just pay a couple $ more and get them from proper sources which do their own QC and have a reliable supply chain. I bought mine from ProBolt when I had the Uno stem.

Thanks for the reply. Your are absolutely right, in hindsight I have no idea why I asked for Ali E. in particular. I am just looking for bolts that fit in general.
I never head of ProBolt before but they surely seem legit.

Pro bolt is very big in motorcycles, used in all levels of racing.
I would recommend them.
