I'm pretty sure at least 97% of people think of a a very thin, sharp sword when they see the word rapier.
No offence meant but you can still be pretty sure and yet be pretty wrong..

Another counterpoint: a good part of non-native English speakers (which happen to make more than 3% of people) would have very little clue what a rapier actually is, but will be familiar with the other word.

Then that would suggest that 97% of people would know what a rapier is.......let's face it unless you're as thick as two short ones you'd have a pretty good idea.

You said this before and I had no idea what you were going on about. I think I realize now. Are you really not aware of what a rapier is? It's a sword ...

It's a bad choice for the same reason everyone refers to PNS as, well, you know...and why they've switched over to PAS branding.

To a lesser degree it's why BOA makes the exact same products under the Habu name in certain markets where "boa" might mean something else.

Why even bother saying something like this if you have no idea what you're talking about ... it's the same word or minor derivations of it in French, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Dutch, Russian, Nordic languages, Japanese etc etc. Chinese speakers are likely to use a translation app if they don't understand it.

Changing the subject....

Framesets arriving in Europe in next couple of weeks. Hopefully we'll see some first ride impressions.

I hope I'm allowed to post instagram links.

The Korean authorised dealer for Seka, Zinn bike, uploaded a build that weighs 6.1 KG in size L with pedals.

I'm also hoping that soon there are gonna be some ride impressions coming out.

EDIT: Also, talking to the bike shop owner, he told me that he could ship to Sweden from South Korea. Unsure how that would work out with taxes/VAT etc. He told me to contact him on kakaotalk (korean whatsapp) if interested. Hopefully this information can help someone closer to Korea.

I have never heard of the word rapier or anything similar referring to a sword in the German language (not saying it doesn't exist though). It does remind me of that English other word. It is a poorly chosen name indeed

Why not order a frame from Florian Bikes? They are the EU distributor.

What is the German word for 'rapier' then? Online translators say it's 'rapier.' Changing this word because people are stupid is a pretty dumb thing to do.

I'm not a native English speaker, but I play PC games and watch animations, where the word "rapier" can be seen a lot. I don't understand all those whining on this word.

Thanks for sharing. Do you know how much they're asking for spear/spear rdc frame sets?

I would order from florian if I was gonna buy it. I was thinking that maybe someone closer to Korea that doesn't have a dealer in their country/region could use the information.

Why is the handlebar a rapier? It´s hopefully not, because it means that I will crash into someone and hit this person like in a fight?! ;)

Giant bicycles are actually just normal sizes.
