Perhaps this post more naturally belongs in The stupidest thing you've heard at a bike shop...

I think the funniest post there is

This one happened in our own shop, a campus shop at the UofA.

One of our regulars is in the store. He's blind and is the stoker on a tandem. He has his dog next to him as he's trying on helmets. When he leaves one of the "higher education" students asks the guy behind the counter how a blind guy can ride a bike. The guy behind the counter says that "he rides on the back of a tandem"..... The girl accepts that, but then starts to look really confused. After a minute she leans over the counter and quietly asks the salesman in all sincerity, "how does the dog steer the bike?"

Interesting that the mast broke off so cleanly, although right at the stress point.
What on earth might have sheered it off? A saw?

I have seen that happen multiple times on the early generation Synapse.
Assume it starts with corrosion between the aluminium and carbon which creates some play an eventually it will crack.

More spacers than head tube. One way to crack a frame.

Could you imagine any women with that saddle height riding that frame slammed for CX? No way. That geo just doesn't work for her. Not slowing her down though - she's riding well. Hopefully no questionable "supplements" in the mix.

Looks really awfull, especially for a pro bike. But it's the frame she has to ride from the sponsor i think. Not the best publicity..

On the other hand, I do not think such spacer towers do slow you down. Carbon Steerers are plenty stiff enough and for Cyclo-cross a bit of flex might even not be a negative. Personally I do not feel much difference with some spacer or without. But maybe that's because I'm not strong enough ☺️

Slammed is much more beautifull and aero, no question about that.

This frame is specifically designed for Eli Iserbyt, if the top tube was just 2 cm higher, it would’ve looked a lot better
