OUT with the prev-gen, non-Icon Kask Protone (sz L) and Kask Valegro (sz L)... and IN with the Lazer Z1 Kineticore (sz M).

The two Kasks in sz L were big on me and required tightening them almost all the way down, but their sz M was too small. I was pleasantly surprised to find that my giant melon fits Lazer's sz M. Keep this size change in mind when looking at the 30-50g savings. :smartass:

The Smith Trace (?) also fit nicely, but was noticeably heavier.

Thanks to a fellow WW member from NZ I finally got my hands on a pair of winter booties for the Mavic Comete carbon shoes that I searched for more than 18 months (and totally gave up… so many thanks to him!)
I knew they existed but production stopped years and years ago and completely sold out everywhere (even with Mavic help contactint the last shop who ordered some...).

The fit is surprisingly "the same" than the summer booties and probably bring more water resistance and windproof than massive thermal insulation to replace the shoes I use for negative temperatures but for 4-10 degrees or rain that should work!

Bought Magped Road 2.
Actually very nice! I pulled up very hard but couldn't disengage them, but simple up-slide to the side and they disengage nicely. Feel much more safe that on time xpresso 7 (I have knee injury from mountaineering so couldn't twist right leg outwards too much).

Never been so happy to have to replace a BB!
That is the ceramtech version (not the coated one), was more looking for the lifetime warranty than the ceramic balls.
The Mech Eng in me is bizarrely happy to finally have bearings mounted as they should, with perfect geometry Image

Since seatpost, saddle and bars need 4Nm I use the topeak with the torque bit (works also without).

I could also use the wera tire levers… just realised they sell the kit with also the torx one
