I own and deeply cherish my BMC TMR02, but as the years pass, my back isn't as thrilled with it. Currently, the stem is slammed at -17 degrees, featuring a Kalloy Uno with Zipp Aero SL70 bars. I even experimented with the +7-degree setup. However, not only has the aesthetic lost its appeal, but more importantly, my back continues to ache, especially when riding in the drop position. Unfortunately, the Aero SL70 bars lack aero attachments.
Now, I'm grappling with a dilemma. Should I consider converting the handlebar to a time trial (TT) setup, perhaps something like the 3T REVO? This design raises the armrest area, allowing for an aero tuck without compromising my back.
Given that the TMR02 shares a similar geometry with the TM, I'm contemplating whether this adjustment might be a worthwhile experiment.
