The least surprising news this year, kudos to a tasteful national jersey application too.

Glad he is racing next year and will be at the TdF. Seeing his career fade at Human Powered Health would have been sad.

I wonder how he will find the Willier bikes. Cavendish seems quite sensitive to equipment and has been vry vocal in his criticism of some brands in the past.

He seems to like the Willier according to Friebe on The Cycling Podcast a couple of weeks back.

Ouch, Gesink broke his pelvis with that nasty crash in Australia.

That's the second time he's done that. He had a big crash in LBL back in 2019 where he broke his collarbone and pelvis.

Personally neither am I! Terrible name, terrible flavour.

Not sure who threw a bigger tantrum though, Bettiol or Mathews in the post race interview.

Shimano 12-speed does seem to be throwing a lot of chains. Last year this was blamed on the use of 11-speed chainrings/cranksets. But now we've seen so many thrown chains in CX and Matthews was running R9200 cranks today...albeit with a pro-only sized big ring.

I noticed there's been a lot of thrown chains at the TDU but wasn't sure if they were majority Shimano or not. Maybe we'll get some new memes out of it.

Before Matthews mentioned anything about the chain he started with an old man yells at cloud tirade, paraphrasing here slightly because I can't recall the exact wording: "I don't know what's wrong with cycling. There's no respect in the peloton anymore."

Wearing an aero baselayer on a normal stage. Haven't seen that before.
