Now can’t exclude it’s the comeback of Roval problems holding TL.

If they can't hold regular clinchers, they very likely will have issues with bead lift in tubeless tires. They were using older CLX 50s in other races this season. Really makes you go hmmm.

I didn't trust my CLX50 after a flat... sold it all after that.

Its just too bad there isnt a way to sew them into the tire somehow. Then maybe glue it onto the rim. Just imagine how good that could be if done correctly.
Even better, stretch a giant O-ring onto the rim. But 3D-print it for grip and flex. It'll be the Next Big Thing for this crazy industry.

I know someone who is a paracyclist now due to someone else rolling a tub at >70km/h. Slammed straight into him and he slid headfirst into hay bales. Turns out equipment failures happen to all formats, though in some cases it’s more user-error than design-failure. Who knows what caused that clincher to blow off? It’s the first I’ve seen with a disc-brake wheel in competition.

I have to say, this is very odd. My Rovals are excellent when it comes to the tyre bead staying where it is supposed to be. MUCH better than the LB rims where the tyres fall off into the centre channel and in general I feel like are much more likely to blow off a rim.

After the Vuelta last year it was good to see Roglic out sprint Remco today. I hope Catalunya gives us a preview of the showdown at the Giro like Paris-Nice did the Tour.

Well, he beat Remco today, but i wouldn't call ot "outsprint". Remco was quicker actually :noidea:

I don't know about that, if they were both out of the saddle "sprinting" then Roglic outsprinted him, since he won and all. But Roglic also sprinted longer seeming to sit back down and take a break before he realized the race wasn't over and then outsprinted Remco. I am not sure how you figure Remco was "quicker", from what 51 meters out to 1 meter out?

It's easy to be quicker when yiu're in the draft, but Roglic was strong enough to be in front in the first place.

Probably doesn't mean too much though, Roglic is supposed to win on days like this.

Happened in Tirreno Adriatico the other week, although it was a tubeless clincher on a hookless Zipp wheel. Looks like the rider hit small pothole and the tyre completely came off the rim causing him to crash.

I meant for regular clinchers + tubes. Hookless road is not something I'm onboard with. You know this.
