This is a great light. Solid performance, great fit.
I bought it exactly because it is designed for saddle rail.
Not cheap however.
I've been using this myself.
Pros:
--Well made adn built solid
--Charging is easy with magnetic cord
--Has brake light accelerometer (sp?)
--Shape is a horizontal pill shape...different that others like round
Cons:
--Mounting hardware is heavy and so is entire unit
--No blinky mode...stays on
--Pricy

I use this ebay light:

I bought the Q5 version with the sturdier plate and it works great. Holds charge forever and the mounting system feels really secure, it sits out of the way mounted above or below the rails. Never had an issue with it. I also got one for the girlfriend, she mounts it on the seatpost.
Maybe I'm missing out, but tbh I've never felt the need for an expensive bike light. I find many of the Ebay/Ali offerings are more than enough.

If someone is planning to get a Rotlicht, note that there are two versions of it. The Rotlict International is the real thing. Then there is also the Rotlicht StVZO version for German markets: less powerful and with only one mode.

I use a saddle bag on my bikes.
This would work otherwise;

Likewise, I have something very similar from another Ali brand and it’s impressively good.
